With the current stir from the awesomeness that is the cinematic trailer for The Old republic I was wondering what others think could be potential classes.
So far those which have been named are Bounty Hunter, Trooper and now smuggler.
You'd assume Sith and Jedi as classes?

This leaves a potential 3 classes unnamed at http://www.swtor.com/info/holonet/classes.

Perhaps potential- jawas, sandmen, starfighter pilot, Mandolorian(Bounty Hunter?), Wookie?
What do you guys reckon/want to see/play as?

+regarding The Old Republic's validity as an MMO, what will fit the healer/tank archetype...if anything?

Choose to be a Jedi, a Sith, or from a variety of other classic Star Wars roles
it wouldn't really be starwars without a bit of lightsaber action now would it...

if it was anywhere near ready they'd have a demo and not a CGI trailer. which looked so much better than the actual game it pisses me off.

I want to play a HK assassin robot :)

'Light' side: Some form of healer (What? Some of us actually like healing :3)

'Dark' side: Sith Guard (Heavy Ranged DPS), Sith Officer

Wouldnt be surprised seeing bots included as playable characters considering HK-47 from KOTOR. MEATBAG!

They will be a class, but you shouldn't be able to play them straight away, or 90% of the player base will be Jedi/Siths, and barely anyone would go the others. There should be a quest chain or something that you have to do with a different character first.

Those aren't all classes though, Wookees, Sandmen and Jawas are just races.

On topic, maybe an Medic class, I disagree with the Pilot class as that will probably be some sort of profession, and a Guard, like a Trooper (a bit like Paladins and Warriors from WoW).

Don't worry, this isn't a criticism; Do you know how they're going about this classification? I mean, are they calling Wookiees a class or a race?

The exact response I needed. Now I think about it, all footage I've seen involves Humans playing as classes as far as I'm aware. Do people think they'll allow lots of choices of races for each class? How cool would sith Jawas be!!!!???

The point is they would have to be balanced, while a jedi or sith would excel at certain things eg cqc they would be awful at others and have to rely on other people to help them. This would meant that the 10% remaining would be very rich as they would be able to charge whatever they wanted for their services.

And seeing their success, the 10% would not remain a 10% for long.

Oh and who wouldn't want to be a bounty hunter?!?!
