I remember that! Wilhelm's my favourite, he can shoot 'em with the best of them.

(Well, that'd at least be a film I'd like to see)

I laughed way too hard at stalin being rita, that was great.

OT: good god am I pumped for some awesome cheesiness that is based off the original series, although if they made it like that short video on youtube where it was all grimdark with james van der beek, I wouldn't mind that either

There is a guy called Larnell Stovall who did the fight scenes in "undisputed 3" and they are so acrobatic, I think it would be great to have that in a power rangers.
hey now, scott adkins played a big part in that, the man is way underrated in the action movie world. (Boyka from movies 2 and 3)

and if you're curious, he's making a return for undisputed 4 which started filming a couple months back ;)

OT: I think it is a bit sad that they need to rely on the old Mighty Morphin' franchise in order to make money. I thought that there was a new team of Power Rangers and that they were pirates or something. Can't they have made a film about them instead?
There's been over a dozen new teams. The pirates are gone now, replaced by...more Dino Rangers. They're on season 2 od Dino Charge, which I guess is now called Dino Super Charge.

They could make a film out of them, but why would they? Admittedly, doing a movie with the Legendary War would have been cool, but...Saban barely put effort into the TV version. Why would that have ended better? Or be a good idea?

They might adapt later season for sequels though.
I'd honestly like to see a series of movies with a single cast before adaptations of other series. Preferably, since they're not using Super Sentai footage from multiple series, with something a little less disjointed.

Accoridng to the people behind the film, it will maintain a "mature yet playful" tone
See, the "mature" part still worries me, because "mature" usually does indicate the sort of "grimdark" that Scarim was referencing. And I expect the playfulness will be them sarcastically offering cynical sarcastic quips. Hope I'm wrong....

I mean, I really do hope I'm wrong. I would very much like to see a fun MMPR movie. But that just seems like marketing code.

You mean the one that was supposed to be a parody/satire/whatever?

Yeah, Scott is a BEAST! He is like a white Michael Jai White.

He was in a cheesy named movie called "Ninja: Shadow of a Tear" and he made it really good (well, I like dumb action films but not bay films). Just incredible acrobatics, which I think would make power rangers really good.

I also wouldn't mind any actors from the Mortal Kombat: Conquest tv series, that had a lot of flipping and tumbling that looked pretty.

and.....Your point? You mean the one that was really well recieved and has over 15 million views as of this point? I couldn't care less that it was setup as a spoof, it was pretty well done for flipping power rangers on its head and I wouldn't mind seeing it in full movie form.

ooh nice, thanks for the heads up, I'll have to watch that sometime soon (I'm also an avid fan of cheesy dumb action films, and not the Michael bay kind either.)

The one that I literally just spelled out and you seemed to understand fine?

Well, I mean, I suppose I could elaborate: it's sort of weird seeing something adored by the exact people it's intended to take the piss out of. Also sort of seems like a recipe for disaster.

Plus, if you really want to go the view counter route, why not just have a Michael-Bay directed Dave Goyer screenplay? We could get PewdDiePie to star and Justin Beiber could score it.

Wouldn't really be skin off my nose, but I wonder if you'd still fly the popularity flag then.

have you ever watched a roast before? or ever laughed at yourself (for something silly/stupid/etc...)? Kinda the same thing here, I can totally see this is a parody, but that's not stopping me from enjoying it, people can (dis)like something for more than one reason.

it has 227,751 likes and 6,953 dislikes, that's overwhelmingly in its favor, now depending on what reason someone liked it could vary, so I'm not going to delve into that, I was just merely trying to show that regardless of it being a parody, it was well received, for it not being "skin off your nose" you sure seem intent on nit picking my post.
