Umm, can I say I wasn't impressed with the Dead Island trailer? It's probably going to be Dead Rising or Dead Rising 2 on an Island. The music was an interesting Juxtaposition to the action. Once the girl was back in the building and I realized she was a zombie I lost all connection to her. And knowing that she becomes a Zombie I wasn't invested in the struggle / loss of innocence that I am sure they were hoping to convey.
Sorry.. I am just getting a bit worn weary of all the Zombie games / addition of zombies to games. This game is going to have to do it great to really get me to pay attention to it. A 3 minute trailer in reverse slo-mo isn't the way to do it for me.
On the flip side... A trailer that I always go back to as something amazing is probably the World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade trailer. I think it setup the idea in players heads that everything that they had done to this point was nothing compared to the challenges they were going to face.
Hearing Illidan tell you that "You are not prepared!" gave the sense that even in your Tier-3 Epics, you were not a challenge to him. It was true as well. I recall the first 24 hours of people just being jaw-dropped amazed at the Green-level items that were replacing their at the time top-tier Purple Epic items.
