It's easy to feel biased towards your own cool nation, because you live there and know what's great about it... but what about other nations? Have you felt patriotic pride for somewhere you've never lived? Tell The Escapist some of the cool things you've noticed about other nations in this world! Feel free to use generalizations, such is the nature of talking about a whole country.

I'll start by saying I love Russia. The language is so smooth and beautiful-sounding, the place is nicely cold, and it's an awesome place for Urban Exploration with lots of abandoned mills, plants and mines to keep me traipsing and taking photos forever! Besides, look at something written in Russian. It looks so elegant... not to mention, russian accents are so hot. Some dark-haired Russian beauty could tug on my heart like a yo-yo.

Now it's your turn! What makes your place of choice so great? (Oh yeah, and those hats... not to mention great alcohol)

Gotta agree with you on Russia. On all fronts.
Also, love Mexico because of the people's culture. Luckily, I am Mexican so I join in on these festivities.

New Zealand. It's almost as good as Australia :)

When bogans claim their nation is better than all others, they should exclude New Zealand from that. First self governing nation to gives votes for women, but Australia gave women the right to be voted for before them, that sort of thing.

Sweden has surprisingly great music (and awesome meal time).
Russia has a great language.
Finland has great words to curse with.
Japan has great anime.
Norway has a great history.
France has great cities.
And Canada has great people.

I think it should be obvious, but I'll say it before someone does it anyway just to be sure... this thread is for POSITIVE things, not a chance to slam another country with a backhanded compliment. For srs, gaiz

Also, Russian ladies are generally taller. I like that!

Germany. That in and of itself is cooler than just about anything from any country.

What? Actually justify it? Very well.

Jet engines, automobiles, Einstein, one of the most powerful economies in the world...

Serbia. You guys were the only people ever to shoot down one of our (USA) stealth fighter/bomber F-117 aircraft.

I like Canada. Specifically Canadian comedians. Seriously, about half of the comedy I like (and maybe the better half) comes from Canada. Go figure.

America until the Great Depression, and for the short period from their entry into World War 2 until the whole Red Scare of the 50s started was pretty great.

Also congratulations to most of the Mediterranean area for their food.

I am in love with Finland at the moment. Love the music, the people, the architecture. The only thing that sort of puts me off is the temperature. Do you ever really get used to the cold?
