Prank Calls

Okay so, here's my story:

At 3:30 am, this morning, I was woken up by the best ringtone I have ever put on my phone.

I answered in a state of confusion, to hear a strange voice. The conversation went like this: Them - "Hello, are you Ernie?"
Me - "Who are you?"
Them - "I'm Bert. I'm calling from Sesame Street. Are you Ernie?"
Me - "I...whuh?"
Them - "This is Bert. Are you Ernie?"
Me - "Okay...seriously...who are you?"
Them - "As I said. This is Bert, calling Ernie, from Sesame Street. Are you Ernie?"
Me - "...listen...it's 3:30 in the fucking morning, and I am not in the mood for this shit."
Them - "Okay then, night night! Sweet dreams!"
*click* *beep beep beep*

Honestly, it seems weird to me now, but I know that it happened. Wanna know the most fucked up part? They weren't using Bert's nasally voice...they were using Ernie's goofy voice! What the hell?

Now, you tell me. What's the weirdest prank call situation you've been in? Was it you getting pranked, or doing the pranking? Or any other such situation that involves prank calls. You tell me.

I've never been prank called, but I used to prank call people quite a lot. It was mostly stupid juvenile stuff though, and I don't think I ever really fooled anyone.

EDIT: I just remembered! I made one successful and rather hilarious prank call back when I was in grade 8. I called a pizza hut, pretending to be a young child (not difficult, because my voice was quite childish back then) and told them that my daddy had asked me to order a pizza with baby meat on it (stupid). The person there said they didn't have that, and I said that my dad was going to beat me if I didn't get the pizza. They asked to speak with him, sounding very concerned, and I said he was in the bathroom. They said to get him to call them when he was available, and I said thank you and hung up. In hindsight it was in incredibly poor taste, but it was hilarious at the time.

DOUBLE EDIT: I once also somewhat successfully prank called my own house using Skype and a Tourettes guy soundboard.

Never been prank called before, but I've done it myself once with a friend about 2 or 3 years ago.

I acted like a pissed of and domestically abusive Chinamen calling up Taco Bell asking for his dry cleaning and special chicken I ordered an hour ago.

I got prank called one time around 11 pm, and me and the girl that called ended up talking until about 7 am the next morning. lol. I have no idea why I didn't just hang up. Then we ended up meeting up, a week or so later. I really wished I would have just hung up.

Me and my friends used this Arnold Swartzenager voice machine and just kept on hitting the funniest phrases and it really confused the hell out of on of my brothers friends. Needless to say it was funny at the time if not a little bit juvenile.

Prank calls i get at work are terribly cliche.
They either talk like Asians, ask for a different pizza companies number or kids who have not yet hit puberty trying to sound grown up.
They all ask for the same pizzas as well.
Its so easy to spot a prank call, i generally hang up before they finish their sentence.

Some friends of mine and myself were drinking late into the evening one night and decided to prank call escort services in Las Vegas. We made up persona's and pretended to be someone calling to order an escort for our room. Needless to say we mostly got hung up on, but one woman decided to tell one of to go f*** our Mom's P****. We all got a good kick out of that.

Er, a girl in high school called me and played that exact prank on me. No, I am not making this up.

Well one time someone called and asked if I wanted to have my doors and windows replaced for free, and I said "We don't have any!" and hung up.
