Pre-order CODMW3, get COD4MW free

One can currently pre-order Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 from Steam [http://store.steampowered.com/app/115300/] with the massive (and unsurprising) price tag of £39.99 on PC, and get Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare free. Yes, that's right, pre-order CODMW3 and get COD4MW free.

The two should not be confused either. The first is a new, eagerly anticipated modern military shooter in which the player plays a western soldier. The second is an older, formerly eagerly anticipated modern military shooter in which the player plays a western soldier. They are completely different games.

Aww, thought this was going to be something completely baffling like ordering MW3 and getting it's currently non existing sequel free a year from now. This is just boring and fairly typical of such things.

As I consider CoD4 to be by far superior to any other game in the series as well as still being my go-to online fps, I'd say that is one good deal. Hell, if loads of new players suddenly get a hold of CoD4, more people for me to play against.

Its not good enough to consider buying MW3. If you like MW you already have it. Think of all the things you could do or buy with that money that would be more fun and last longer than MW3.

It's actually a good deal. I don't see any reason to hate. This receives The Jensen approval. Activision might be full of ass and suck, but at least they're trying. Can't say the same for EA. All they're trying to do is piss us off.
But this is Activision! Why would they do this? Unless they're really scared of Battlefield 3 success. That is the most likely explanation in my augmented opinion.

Call of Duty 4 is the best CoD on PC to date, dedicated servers, full mod support, xfire.

Don't play mw3, CoD 4 is always looking for more players.
