So, in my case I got both a xbox360 and a ps3 ... If I would want to play RDR online on the 360, I'd have to pay a monthly fee for xbox live gold ... but not if I get it for ps3 ... Am I getting this right?
That is correct. PS3 = free online playing. Between 60 to 120 a year to play on XBL
Will we have the same online everyone or those on ps3 won't be able to play with those on xbox live?

I've got the limited Edition preordered and have been inpatiently playing other games wishing they were RDR. Excited? Probably not a strong enough word for it. xD
How much more is the limited edition?
Not sure, it cost me £50 but I don't know how much the regular version is.

Seriously, anyone know if RDR is coming out for the PC? there's been some serious questions surrounding this and I want to know whether or not I should save up cash for it or just go crazy on steam indie titles...

PS3s can only play with other PS3s and XBL can only play on XBL (and some games support XBL to PC). SO if all of your friends get the 360 version and you get the PS3 you will have to make more friends.

I strongly considered pre-ordering it but I then realised that the Alan Wake release date fell a bit close to the Red Dead Redemption release date. I ended up choosing Alan Wake.

XBL is actually between $40 and $50 USD, depending on if you buy during a deal or not. I pay $40. ANd no you can't play cross-platform online, they're completely different servers.

I live in Japan, dude. There's not even a confirmed NTSC-J release date yet. I'm gonna have to order it from America.

Good choice on that one, I would've turned down Alan Wake for RDR too. This game is gonna be a boatload of fun!

So... Instead of buying a game you want you pre-ordered a game you didn't even look at?

GENIUS!
Hey I bought GTA 4, Battlefield: Bad Company, and Bioshock 1 on a whim; so it's worked out pretty well for me.

I can't wait for Red Dead Redemption. I love Westerns and the idea of an open-world western makes me hard. I want to round up outlaws online with my posse of friends. I can't wait to start death-matches with Mexican standoffs. I want this game!

Don't get me wrong, I really wanted Alan Wake... but then I saw trailers for Red Dead Redemption and now Alan Wake is second on my list. Oh man does this game look amazing.

Well that's just a falsity. 12 month sub cards cost 50 US dollars. If you pay up front with a debit/credit card it will run you 50 bucks. If you pay in 3 month increments it will end up being 80 US dollars. If you pay on a month to month basis however it will run you 95 US dollars and 88 cents. Not sure where the 120 dollar number comes from. :)
Here in Canada we have to pay 10 bucks and change per month. 60 bucks per year card and I have no idea how much a 3 month is. And we also pay 20 bucks for 1400 points not 1600.

Lol your clerk sucks.
Hm. Could've sold two things, but the fact he sold a game without the customer even knowing anything about it is admittedly pretty impressive.
I was only getting one game anyway. Way too poor to pre order 2 games. xD
For some reason I keep hearing that gamestop clerks are pretty much idiots. Am I the only person that has a decent?
