Assassins Creed Revelations comes out on Tuesday and I'm in a pickle. Where should I pre-order it from? I was originally going to pre-order it from zavvi.co.uk but I read on a few websites that they're not that reliable when it comes to pre-orders .

My question is this; If you've pre-ordered Assassins Creed, where from? Also, where do you usually pre-order games from? Thanks for the help :D

I pre-ordered it from Amazon, although they have greatly disappointed me today.
The only other place I pre-order from is Play.com

I don't always preorder video games, but when I do, I preorder from GAME.

I can't believe I just said that...

Yeah, I don't have a helluva lot of XP with preordering games. All I do know is that the games I do preorder tend to become my favourite games ever. Case in point; I preordered Dragon Quest IX, which is currently my most favourite game on the DS. I also preordered Xenoblade Chronicles, which is now my favourite game on the Wii, and quite possibly my #1 game of all time.

I plan on preordering Kingdom Hearts 3D, and with the promise of NEKU GODDAMN SAKURABA making an appearance, this trend seems to be continuing ^_^

Whatever you do, don't go to HMV. Took 'em nearly a week after release to get Assassin's Creed Brotherhood here.
Apart from that, I don't really know. I go to Amazon myself for pre-orders and they seem alright, but I don't pre-order stuff that much anyway.

Preorder from GAME, one of my mates works there and for all I know you live close enough to me for us to share a local GAME. Also, buy some pointless cheap crap along with it, apparently the staff get extra points when they get people to do that.

Pre-order from Game early enough and it comes a day before release (Well has done with me every time, which is at least 5 times now) but it might be too late now

I'd go to GAME, my friend always goes there and he tends to get stuff a day or two early because of it. If you're going to pick up the game in store then wherever's cheapest.

If you're getting it for PC then steam, but I think AC games come out later on PC so I guess you're getting it for console. Go for GAME or Amazon, they're both reliable in my experience, play.com used to be good but are terrible at getting preorders to you on time now.

But I repeat, if you ever think of ordering any PC games, preload them through steam if they are available on it, you can play within 15 minutes of it being released.

Do you always get them sent in the post? I don't Play.com any more since they never delivered me my Terry Pratchett book ;_;
I usually go to Game or Gamestation because they usually do some sort of deal with it.

That is quite simply not true. Unless by 'extra points' you mean 'kudos for worthless sales targets.'

Yeah, that's basically what I meant. I didn't mean literal points that could be exchanged for goods or anything worthwhile like that.

Ah, so you meant brownie points... Sometimes I wish we did get reward points, that would be an (almost) worthwhile incentive...

GAME. What a coincidence, I got a leaflet through this morning offering me extra points if I took it in when I bought Assassin's Creed... but I don't plan on it. GAME are generally pretty good at honouring their pre-orders.

Except I ordered Skyrim from there and failed to receive it today.

Most of the time, I think it's the Royal Fail, not the actual retailer.
