OT: Erm, what usually makes a seasonal come around this time of year. Oh, there's going to be a wave of "I ______ my roommate/flatmate/housemate". I suspect that I am going to get a billion internets, because feminism has no shortage of steam behind it, and will probably continue to be the biggest thing for a while. MLP will come out, but that's hardly the next big thing, since it is ALWAYS a big thing. Which means that the next big trend will some huge, significant social event.
The American presidential election is this November.
Threads about the election are bound to flood the forum. Not only is it contentious AND probably an opportunity for most people to build a consensus with like minded people, non-Americans who don't care about the American election will feel obligated to point out that they don't care, fueling the fire even more. Something big could happen in the meantime, but the best odds are almost certainly on the election. Hell, I'm sick of it IRL already.

I have a feeling we're about to see the return of the 'big release is coming up and I'm excited so I'm going to whine about how much they changed things' threads.
Normally the summer months are the barren dry release months, so we all go nuts with alternate topics, but then September to about March is the big budget AAA releases. So all of us who still actually retain a shred of childlike wonder and excitement get to be angry while the bitter angry cynics try and bring us all down.
I remember both last year and the year before someone predicted that we were about to have another big gaming crash like in '83, just because there wer still MW and CoD games being released. Fun times.
