Everyone ends up falling asleep because they're tired from all the camping and no one decides to move from their camp spots. Everyone is too far away for their hearbeat sensors to detect and the ones who aren't have the cold blooded perk (but don't have hearbeat sensors). Someone needs to defuse the nuclear bomb or NYC will be wiped out, but no one wants to lose their killstreak - so the bomb goes off and everyone dies.

well if they want to end with something really shocking they'll have MW3 end with Soap and Price kiss after saving the world. realistically you fight threw Russia as a member of the American military while Soap and Price flee perusing armies and eventually shed light on Sheppard's overly elaborate ruse.
Your new character walks down the street, NUKED!
Price is walking down the street, looks in the background NUKE EXPLODES, he crawls his way over to a terrorist and kills him/her with a series of quick time events before dying himself.

The entire planet gets Nuked until only part of earth left is the USA, floating through space all on its own. All the main characters who were not tragically shot are all hanging off the edge by one hand.
