It will probably top the 1st day sales chart again breaking the records for Black Ops and Modern Warfare 2.

everybody will love it for 3-4 months, then everybody will start talking about how shitty it is and how they cant wait for the next one because it'll be perfect.
You mean like every popular triple A sequel ever made ever? Just to name a few: Fallout 3, Mass Effect 2, Grand Theft Auto 4, Dragon Age 2, Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, Resident Evil 5, and *gasp* Modern Warfare 2.

Well so far it has 1 review, and that review gave it a 10/10.

I bet it averages a 90+ on metacritic. IW knows how to make a FPS game better than any other company in the world.
Yeah, basically this. The game won't be bad, not by a long shot, but, as ive said before, this wont be a day 1 purchase for me, but it is something to look forward to maybe in a couple months.

EDIT: I'd like to think that, with what Jimquistion said about Grand Theft Auto and Saints Row now complementing each other, the same can be said of The Battlefield and Call of Duty series. Now, before you rush to fill my inbox with hate mail, let me explain. On one hand you have Call of Duty, which thrives on gritty, player to player close combat, with tons of cool killstreaks, and in addition a usually well-executed campaign that has the best scripted events and action sequences in the business.

And on the other hand you have Battlefield, which boasts huge, sprawling open maps full of vehicles to use, where team coordination is required to complete objectives, and tons of moments where the game feels incredibly cinematic without actually trying to do so (such as wh you are rushing in with your squad to capture a point as the yelling of soldiers and the explosions of grenades rattle all around you).

However, both games are not without problems. Call of Duty should stop releasing a new game annually to give everyone a breath of fresh air, and Battlefield 3 had an unnecessary and completely forgettable campaign that was only there because EA is trying to take down Activision's grand prize.

In short, both games have a polished gameplay that no one in the video game media can match, and both games should, in my opinion, continue to sell well.

My joke failed, it just seemed like nobody was talking about it. I want it to sell well, in fact as gamers I think we should celebrate it's success. Hell the 'Vet & Noob' commercial was better than most of the crap Hollywood has put out in the last five years.

I seriously doubt it will outsell Black Ops. When Black Ops was released what was it's competition at the time? Halo Reach had already been out for several months. No other AAA FPS were released that year. This year? Gears of War 3 and Battlefield 3, neither of them are even two months old.

It's going to be a good game that unfortunately gets high reviews not because it's pretty good, but gets perfect scores because of it's popularity.

It is going to a sell a shit ton, and the fans are going to love it (Except for the douchebags who constantly rag on it even though they can completely avoid it).

And then it will be forgotten when the next Call of Duty comes out next year.
well as Jim Sterling said in his review, it's because Call of Duty knows what it does best. this was on destruction by the way.
