Prefered type of Moba character/build?

So after coming off a League of Legends super session I have to say my favourite Champion at the moment is Sona. I really like the whole "kill people with music" stuff and the fact her song actually changes depending on the buff you're giving is pretty cool... I'm a stickler for the little details what can I say?

I've always liked support type champions that can still do damage, take a decent AP build with Sona and she can hold her own in a team fight spectacularly, especially when they're too busy focusing all the delicious AP/AD Carries (that you're healing and buffing) and you can just lamp all of them with the Ult for the 2 second stun and damage.

2 second stun in a team fight is certain death if your team is anywhere near competent. But this LoL after all... XD

I even turned a close team fight into epic destruction just by turning up and throwing a rather nonchalant Ult at the entire grouped together enemy team... "The hero has arrived!" *Plays harp*

Not to mention keeping your lane partner constantly healed through the entire early to mid game is hilarious

My friend and I had epic fun tiemz just dominating bottom lane... Sona/Hecarim combo works surprisingly well, more so if you take Clarity. He makes a daring charge to get the kill and retreats to my epic heals and movement buff if we really need to get the hell out

Complete winage. Though i'm sure someone will come and read out a list of how she's completely unviable in Ranked games...

I love Irelia. I just think her lore is cool. There was also a fan-made thing on LoL forums that proved she was a lich. Soraka apparently used her weapon as a phylactery.

I'm loving Talon. His backstory is pretty cool, and let's face it; he's fantastic.

Hide in brush, ulti to them so they're just panicking because they know you're near but not sure where, E them to go behind them and amplify damage, then W to slow and hurt, Q to hurt, then auto-attack until they're dead or another teammate kills them off for you.

In my first 3 games with him, I carried the whole game 12/3/8, 7/2/9, 5/6/18. True, the last one I didn't do so well BUT LOOK AT THOSE ASSISTS.

His ulti can also escape as well. Basically, whenever the ulti is up you can win any engagement! It's kinda difficult laning early game if you're against a ranged opponent, but if you get the better of them it makes it feel so much better.

Recently I have started playing support Alistar which is sooo much fun. All of that CC!

Usaully however I prefer to solo lane so there are two types of champs I play. The Tank/tanky DPS or the AP carry(Mage).

I used Veigar a lot but have settled on Malzahar as my favorite mid character, I just have so much fun with him.
My other preferred position is solo top as either Warwick or Singed. Singed = best character ever, he is just way too fun especially if you face people who don't know not to chase him. XD

EDIT: As the person above me said, I just did my fav characters rather than a build.
My favorite kinda builds vary depending upon the characters. Usaully I like to have some good sustain and tankyness so with Warwick I build him tanky, the only offensive item I prioritize is Wits end then it's all defense. He ends up beefy and able to take a lot of damage while also recovering it back quickly since he is Warwick.

I do the same with singed, unless circumstances require otherwise I like to get my Force of Nature early for the insane health regen so that I can just build tanky, run circles around the enemies laughing at them then retreat a few hours later when they finally did damage to me. I then regenerate my health incredibly quickly so I can get back into the fight.

So yeah I like to be tanky with a lot of sustain but I also like, no NEED to have some CC. I love my characters to have some kind of hard CC to stop enemies in their tracks. So I usaully end up building tanky with sustain and use CC whenever I can.

Bane Elemental from DotA is my favorite hero of all time. Nothing like "disabling" three enemy heroes at the same time, more if you can get Eul's Scepter of Divinity or Scythe of Vyse.

Warlock is also another hero I like. His ultimate can stun an entire enemy team for one second while dealing massive damage with Fatal Bonds and the golem that comes out of it. The stun even goes through magic immunity!

Preferred for me is Alistar, as of late. Stunlocking someone while pushing them into your turret is beautiful.

Though my friend prefers to play Karthus, because of the sheer amount of kills he gets from R. MY kills :|

In DotA 2, I play random most of the time.
But I think I enjoy playing Tinker the most.
His Rearm skill is amazing.

My favourite characters are ones that excel in 1v1 combat, for example in Dota 2 Bloodseeker is the perfect hero for hunting down stragglers, is pure death 1v1 since regardless if you pick fight or flight you die, and if fed, is unstoppable in team battles as well, or Juggernaut whose ultimate jumps from target to target, but if there is only 1 target, all the attacks land on it. Although the feeling that comes with playing a support well and having the carry you were with win you the game is pretty damn awesome.
