I used to find horse-back riding very relaxing. Then I went to a college with a hard core riding team.

Also masturbating does wonders for my stress level
Thank you.

Eating helps, as does God of War and Starfox 64 (or any other nostalgia inducing agent).

And Tool (though its kinda annoying to have Prison Sex stuck in your head for more than a day)

Unfortunately, I am passed the alcohol stage and am now at the "fuck I have to get a summer job but I don't want to do anything but play games and go on the Escapist until September" stage.
Ho yuss, summer jobs...thanks. I'd almost managed to forget about that particular dollop of turd on my shit list.

Anyhoo, I should've mentioned music in my original post...my taste runs towards melodeath, 80s hardcore, and classical, so any combination of the above will do it for me. Going for a run last at night while bellowing along to In Flames is quite cathartic. So, surprisingly, is doing the same with Gregorian chants.

I've had the synth line from the Ghostbusters theme stuck in my head for the past week or so..this is the point where I start seriously considering a frontal section.

exercise, usually. Which means biking most of the time. It does wonders and sometimes helps me get a good idea.

Plus masturbation or sex does wonders, too, in all honesty. Though its more of a problem of getting in the mood

Although it's difficult, getting the stuff done is amazingly anti-stressful... but that's kind of like defining a word using the word in the definition...

So, OP mentioned punching the finals in the face. I do that.

Otherwise, jamming out on guitar, a round of L4D or 2, exercising, or writing. Writing anything.

Like looking up the word "Dictionary"...in the dictionary. And then just having is say "Fuck you"

OT: Hanging out with my girlfriend is very relaxing

My friend, you have summed up my response in such a manner as to make Shakespeare cry at it's beauty and simplicity.
Also, add games and I'm set.

Music.
I could be completely steamed, and all I need is my Scream-o/rock/emo/techno playlist, and I'm back to normal.

Why thank you...

It depends on what kind of stress to be honest, if I need to chill out it's the aforementioned, but if it's some aggression/energy that needs to be burned off, then it's beer, Dropkick Murphys and videogames. Get all drunk and angry and take it out on the cops in GTA4.

Video Games
Anime/Manga
Cooking (I tend to "feel" like cooking something whenever I'm really stressed)
Reading TV Tropes or Cracked
Posting on The Escapist
Kicking back with a glass of iced green tea and reading for a while

Unfortunately, my dorm room does not allow me to indulge in cooking so I'll sometimes walk around campus or simply sit around in the quad thinking and stargazing (Gotta love a summer night in the mountains)

Sometimes a good primal shout is all it takes. BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

I've got six classes:

- ECON262 (Statistics II). Teacher lets us drop lowest test grade, so I've already clinched an A in the class. I don't even have to show up anymore.
- IS201 (Excel/Access). Final is a turn-in project. I'm doing so well in the class that even if I get a 30/100 on it I still get an A overall. No stress here.
- CH203 (US History/Core Humanities). I had the same instructor for CH202. He claims I should be a professional writer and that I'm wasting my talents majoring in accounting. Needless to say I don't sweat it when he's grading one of my papers.
- SOC205 (Ethnic Relations/Diversity Requirement.) 35% of the grade was a research paper...one I got an A+ (100/100) on. I need only garner at least a 20 out of 55 on the final (36%) to get an A in the class. Easy-peasy.
- ACC202 (Managerial/Cost Accounting). Still need at least an 80% on the final for an A in the class but I'm not worried about it---my worst grade on an exam thus far has been 85, and that was an outlier.
- MATH126 (Pre-Calculus). This one's a simple calculation. Get at least a 90 on next week's final, get an A in the class. I remain the only student in the class to get a perfect 100% on a homework more than once (I've done it twice.) Easy class, but the teacher's a REALLY specific grader known for being difficult but fair. Of all my potential straight A grades this semester, this is the one I've worked hardest to earn.

Still, my work isn't quite done yet, and it's in my nature to stress over things until they're officially done.
