Borderlands

I hated the games single and co-op play
You and me? Kindred spirits.

I pre-ordered Borderlands on Steam a month before it was released. I was so hyped. I thought it sounded like the best game ever, and the Co-Op sounded OH so delightful!

Release day comes, I decide to hold off on Co-Op atleast for a little while and focus on the single-player, and I loved it. Single-player was a blast. Days went by and that was all I played.

Then I decided to try the multiplayer.

Not. One. Match. Available. Ever. It was months before I could find even one person to play with! None of my friends on steam could join my games or vice-versa for one reason or another, and we still can't!

Plus I only have the base game I payed $50 bucks for, while the GOTY edition was on sale for like 10$ over Christmas break!

Never. Pre-ordering. Again.

I have never pre-ordered a game, at least not that I can remember. However, I remember really wanting to pre-order The Force Unleashed (what a mistake that would have been).

Usually I just cant bring myself to fork out 60+ dollars for a game I have never or only briefly played. It doesn't help that I'm a glass half empty kind of person and generally expect games to not live up to the hype.

None. I make sure I get some decent info on the game's mechanics, storyline, and gameplay before I preorder. So I haven't preordered any games that I didn't think was worth it :D

I just told this exact story in another pre-order related thread lol but it is relevant here. It's not a video game pre-order, but a DVD.

I pre-ordered season one of Community on Amazon for about 25 bucks, on the night before the DVD was released I got my confirmation e-mail that the DVD had shipped, and I was probably going to be getting it in the mail on Thursday.

The next day I was at wal-mart and saw season one for only 19.95. So basically, because I had pre-ordered, I ended up paying more money, and having to wait longer for it. It was too late to cancel my order and I had already been charged for it.

So it's a small regret, but one that does kinda bother me.
