Deep Space 9, Starship Troopers: Roughneck Chronicles, Boston Legal, Fraiser and Star Wars: Clone Wars (the one done by Genndy Tartakovsky of Samurai Jack fame and not the CGI series)

Now that is General Grevious.

Have you seen Eva 3.0? i know that's a stupid question because I know you have but still.

It singly highhandedly does more in an hour and a half then all of original Eva did in the entire second half of the tv series. They pulled another End of Evangelion.... and its not even the ending yet.

Also, how the fuck do you always find like every Eva mention on the site? its like you have bot coming the site for Eva refrences.

Eva 3 is probably not the movie you were expecting, or the movie you wanted, but its the movie eva needed.

saying the Rebuilds are better because of the reduction in what is essentially the series' emotional core is kind of like saying Prometheus is better than Alien because it got rid of all the boring bits where people sat around talking.
There is a large difference between the series emotional core, and a lot of shinji's bitching.

Eh, it's probably not hard. He just needs to check all the topics made in Off-Topic and read every Critical Miss.

It ships Shinji and Kaworu, and Asuka has an eyepatch. That by itself earns it Movie of the Decade. Everything else is just a bonus.

I'm about to say one of my least favorite sentences in the English language. I'll put it in bold so people can notice it and use it against me later if they so desire.

*ahem*

You just don't get it.

Ugh, threw up in my mouth a little there.

I might have to be painful here and say that The Hobbit was better than Lord of the Rings
I don't know if it even counts as a true prequel because of the order the source material was written
Or if it actually is better, maybe I've just seen LOTR too many damn times (not unlikely)

but The Hobbit was lots more fun, the reduced stakes actually meant the characters could have a laugh and a joke from time to time and take themselves less seriously. Which really brightened up Middle Earth for me

I'm afraid I'm gonna have to severely disagree with that too. When 3.0 ended I was struck by a tremendous sense of nothing. Since nothing had basically happened at all. Yeah, sure Kaoru died, but his whole relationship with Shinji felt forced anyway since everyone hated Shinji without ever telling him why. Misato in particular, she being the one who egged him on in 2.0. And in the meantime, Eva pilots don't age just cuz, Mari managed to become even less significant to the plot, another Impact-oh-wait-not-really is thrown in for good measure, and Kaji, Suzuhara, and Kensuke are never followed up on. Eventhough Suzuhara's sister is in the movie and was right the fuck there with him when not-really-Third Impact occured in 2.0.

They could've started this movie at the end and it wouldn't have seemed like you missed a thing. It just felt like big fat filler.

Just lucky, I guess. =D

Same way you find any Elder Scrolls/Bethesda reference, or how I am attracted to TvTropes mentions. It's like a built in sixth sense online.

For the record, I disliked both Rebuild and the original, but I find them fascinating as an animated form of watching one man's mental trainwreck.

Devil may cry 3
Terminator 2
Jax and dexter 3
Borderlands 2
Just cause 2
Command and Conquer 3:Tiberium wars.
Fallout New Vegas
Halflife 2
Mass Effect 2
Mount and Blade:warband
Portal 2
Saints Row:Third
Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood

Also, I will put another tally towards Stargate Atlantis. The Wraith were my favorite villains. They were evil, but they were evil by necessity. Everything they do is practical and rarely motivated by malice or ego. They are like a biological version of evil logical robots. Also, SG-1 group dynamic was pretty much just Oneil, Carter, Jackson, and Tielc. Atlantis had a broader and more colorful cast that extended beyond shepard's team.

I think the Portal series is, overall, slightly better than the Half-Life series, if only by virtue of it actually having a definitive and satisfying ending. I also remember liking Angel more than Buffy as a kid, although I haven't seen either in a log time, so I'm not sure how they'd compare for me now. Then there's NCIS and Frasier, although those two have an easier time since I never had any interest in JAG or Cheers to begin with.

Oh, and Digimon: Tamers. As a child I enjoyed it for its shinier visuals and darker sci-fi tone, and as an adult I can enjoy it for its superior writing. I still love Adventure, and 02 had its moments, but they just can't compare to something that actually seemed to know where exactly where the story was going to go from beginning to end.

X-Men first class is better than the X-men movies.
Final fantasy games got better after the first 3....
Total war got better, then kinda worse.
Sequels of the first harry potter book were pretty good.
