Damn. This is what happens when your only guidelines for the character sheet are "Must be a character sheet." That said, putting this many mankind-hating non-human creatures in a room will hopefully be fun as hell.

Oh deep joy. I often find haughty, self-satisfied superhuman beings of some kind or another more annoying than Trenchies. I'm not even going to go into the fact that a fair amount of SHBs are trenchies too, which makes my blood boil.
I don't automatically dislike them, they can be fully functional characters in and of themselves, much like Mary Sue's/Marty Stu's, but done wrong, they can be ridiculously irritating, because they aren't quite godmoding, but they come dangerously close.

[sub]Also, from a quick count, we already have seven characters that are at the very least immune to aging.
Oh dear...[/sub]

Now that I think it over, my character actually seems pretty balanced, considering that his shadow form doesn't deal with light in any way that could be considered good, and any form he assumes behaves only slightly better than the real deal.

*yawn* I got most of my sheet done today, but I'm too tired to get my bio finished. I had a lot of mythology to read up on. Expect it to be up tomorrow.

Dear lord, I haven't seen such a rag-tag group of RPer's since I quit that DMC site.
*grins widely*
Kewl.
I've got a character idea, but feel free to tell me I'm out if you're running high on characters, it hasn't solidified yet.

Nevermind, I'm too tired tonight to fix up a character, even one as awesome as I've got in mind. Not to mention, y'all seem to be on the other side of the world from me. <.<

For everyone reserving, I'm still 'accepting' until the end of this day. After that I'll pick at the most ten to write the story with the next day.

Also; Damn. I give you free reign, and you give me gods. >=D

Not sure if that was what I was shooting for though.

This is an edited and more specific copy of my character sheet.
Its toned down a bit and provides more info on his abilites and adds some past
{Name: Kyros (current name, Varies depending on trust)

Age: Over 10,000 years

Classification: Possible Demigod (though he would deny it), perhaps a manifestation of science and logic itself.

Appearance: A tall cloaked figure, he sports many advanced technological enhancements that he has not revealed to anyone. His skin is as white as snow with a metallic sheen to it providing hint of its nature.

Abilities: His skin is a made of an unknown alloy that has proven to be able to provide good protection against most forms of attack. The alloy is durable and can take a beating but, when it is destroyed or damaged he must return to his home to initiate repairs upon it due to its unique nature and complexity. He also possesses the ability to control and bend metal and technology to his will in a 50 meter radius. His control over metal and tech diminishes as the size and range of the target increases. Also it diminishes if the item is extremely complex and he has not used or scanned one before as then he is unaware of what makes it up. He can bend the metal or tech to his will as long as he can concentrate and focus enough upon it. He is able to seemingly create armaments, ammo, and tools from within himself at times, though this requires him to have to absorb enough metal and tech to make the item. The spare resources to make items are stored in one of his modifications he made to himself. Over time he has give himself many upgrades to his frame and form. One of the many upgrades is a neural interface that gives him almost perfect recall and he can wirelessly interface with networks, mainframes, and other devices, though this has caused for unknown reasons sudden emotional changes at time. He is slow and not very agile but he makes up for that with his ability to react swiftly and intelligently and his skin offering good protection against harm for the most part.

Origin: Though he has almost perfect recall of his life the first thousand or so years are a mystery to him but he feels that he there are beings just like him out their perhaps related directly to him. He has strongly opposed magic as it being illogical at times and still opposes it this has caused many a conflict with magical beings though in the end technology would win. He resides generally in a hidden underground vault of his own design and monitors the world but he has become exceedingly interested in the people who are hunting others. He has dubbed them "hunters" for now and has not been able to find any data on them which puzzles him.That they have been able to prevent him from learning anything so far is a great feat. He has since then ventured out but remained hidden for the most part. For if these hunters found him he suspects they would dissect him to learn why he is able to do what he can do.}

Edit: Here's my sheet

Name: Maya Li
Age: 7
Location: Jinan City, Shandong, China
Race: Human (Chinese)

Appearance: Typical East Asian features, long dark hair, average height for her age, slightly thin. At the beginning of the story also dirty and dressed in a smudgy grey dress due to situation (explained in bios).

Personality: Shy to the point that she hasn't spoken to anyone since her mother disappeared a couple of months before, naturally afraid of those in authority. Otherwise a typical child's personality: somewhat self-centered and simplistic, but does care for others and deep down wishes she had company again.

Bios: Maya Li was born several years ago to a single woman living in a poor neighbourhood of an eastern Chinese city. She has never known who her father is. Rather than being sent to school, her mother home-taught her to read simple Chinese symbols and to speak (but not read) basic English. As she grew up, Maya had contact with virtually no-one other than her mother, who instilled in her a phobia of strangers and those in authority. Just a few weeks after she turned seven, she woke up one morning to find her mother simply wasn?t there. For several days she waited in the house, living off the remaining food, before she finally left for the streets. For the last couple of months before the story Maya has lived on the streets; stealing food from wherever she can find it. It was only then that she learned she has a power of sorts, she can avoid being noticed and can hide in virtually plain sight. This has allowed her to live on the streets while avoiding the authorities which she fears so much, though she doesn't know why this is. This phobia means that no human has actually seen her for the the last two months. She has no other powers though and as would be expected has no fighting or weapon skills either.

Situation: At the beginning of the story she still lives in Jinan, however something may be about to happen that will cause her to leave her hometown forever... (GM can decide what happens if necessary for storyline to work!)

Hope you like it :)

Name: Kay Rochefort

Description: Kay stands tall and slim, his skin pale and his hair short and dark. He often seems unfocussed from the present, but when he gives his full attention, he gives it all, to a somewhat disturbing degree. His clothes are simple, loose and dark, and do not account for weather. He possess wings, though when not in use, them fold away to nowhere, and when revealed them do not harm his clothes.
To those of a magical disposition, or otherwise able to see beyond the mundane, Kay constantly broadcasts a vast heat and light, and looks as if his skin is liquid gold.

Kay is what he calls an 'angel of the bones'. He does not know how, nor why, but he is an undead spirit, and his bones lie in a casket, covered in gold. Whoever holds these bones has a huge amount of power over Kay, and he while he can resist the will of the bearer, if someone holds his full skeleton, he cannot refuse an order from them.
Kay is capable of magic, but is relatively ignorant of it;s use, and it mainly occurs as a passive effect, activated by (or in retaliation to) the magic of others. He cannot be killed (he has attempted suicide) but if sufficiently hurt he will collapse, and if he sustains further damage his body will disintegrate, leaving him only a disembodied mind. He can recover form such a condition, but has to expend huge amounts of mental effort to do so.

Attributes: As mentioned above, Kay has little control over his magic, which sometimes reacts to other spells as if with a mind of it's own. He is also capable of flight, and is faster and stronger then humans. He has incredible endurance, due only to the fact that while his body may be harmed, he feels no suffering save the pain of his stolen bones

Bio: Kay knows little of his past or origins, but he knows well the curse of his bones. If no one possess them, he is released from the world for a time, but if his bones are ever taken he must walk the world, doing the bidding of the owner till either he gets them back or the thief dies.
Awaking recently, after a long sleep, Kay knew his remains had been taken once more. Despite his separating of the skeleton, and having hidden them across the city (he cannot travel far from the bones, nor carry them far himself), someone seems to have done the research and found his skull. He now searches for the thief, trying to devise a way of confronting him before the rest of his skeleton is taken and he comes entirely under the power of this unknown other.

Name: Alex Ronson

Age: 31

Nationality: Dual American/Canadian Citizen.

Background: Alex, from the age of 5 years and two months, always knew he wanted to be a journalist. If he wasn't running around the streets of New York interviewing people with his plastic camera in one hand, he'd be writing news columns for his school. However, when his Canadian parents told Alex of his adoption to him when he was a baby, he began acting out when he entered high school. As a result, Alex was kicked out of his education aged 16 due to "lewd activities" in his school canteen and began to pursue a career in freelance journalism.

After five years of barely making ends meet along with his refusal to accept money from his parents, Alex was down and out (and poor). In a state of confusion and near-poverty, Alex tracked down his real parents only to learn that his mother had died in childbirth. His father on the other hand, a high decorated soldier in the American army, was at death's door. Unsure of how to proceed with his life, Alex did the only thing he'd known to do throughout his life: he wrote about it. The story of his life earned him a nomination for the Pulitzer Prize and thrust him into the limelight, wherein he was swiftly picked up by New York's top newspaper - the Daily Bagel. Now after ten years of constant praise and award-winning work, Alex finds himself in a journalistic slump. Only time will tell how his life will proceed.

Notes: Alex's foster parents and real parents are all Canadian, hence Alex's dual citizenship in both countries. As a slightly unrelated note, Alex has a love for all things in comic form and a love for British culture as a whole - two things his foster parents blame for his slump into a "rebellious and reckless" lifestyle.

Is it me or does some feel a little bit...average?

EDIT: Also this is my edited character sheet.
Name: Derek Taylor

Age: Whatever he wants to be at the current time, though introduces himself as 24.

Bio: Derek's life seemed to be perfect and his future almost promised to him. In his high school years Derick was the school's star Wide reviver and was practically unstoppable. Though the thing that made him unique compared to other players his age was the fact that he could play multiple positions on the field. He had excellent strength and precision when it came to passing the ball up field. He was also the fastest and most agile on the team and this made him an excellent half back. He received multiple scholarships to various Division 1 schools across the country. Though Derek's dream was quickly shattered when he tore his ACL. Without football Derek's educational career was practically over. He wasn't exactly the smartest guy in the world and placed all his hope in football. With the various colleges pulling their support Derek turned to his last option that he thought he had. As soon as he graduated from high school he enlisted in the Army.

At the time the U.S. was working on the Achilles Warrior project. The projects plan was to inject the specimen with a mixture of nano bots and a polymimetic alloy, essentially liquid metal. At the time Derek was the perfect test subject and he agreed to the operations based on the assumption he would be heavily compensated. At first the injections were supposed to be carried out simultaneously though in the end only the nano bots were injected. Soon Derek was gifted with increase speed, reflexes, strength, endurance and a healing factor.

Derek soon was the leading factor in various confidential black ops carried out by the United States government. Though the scientists who created the Achilles project thought it was time to initiate the second phase of the project by injecting the polymimetic alloy. Though when Derek was injected with the alloy it corrupted his cells and the alloy started to take over his body. The following days were the most painful that Derek experienced in his life as the alloy took over only leaving his mind intact.

The government tried to cover up their "Frankenstein" by locking him up in Area 51. Though over time as Derek learned to deal with his new form he escaped leaving bloodshed and destruction in his path. For the next several years Derek traveled the world trying to avoid being captured.

In recent months Derek has set himself in a small apartment and started to sell drugs to make his way through life with enough money to sustain himself and have a little fun.

Personality: Derek is a born leader based on his want to be the dominant force in everything he does. Derek would mostly likely be at the center of any party, taking command. Derek is truly in his element when allowed to take command of a situation. He tends to think big and act big - often in terms that would scare others.

Derek also has a flair for the dramatics, and is essentially a born entertainer. His natural creativeness and magnetism attract others to him and he truly enjoys being the focal point of any situation.

Overall Derek is just a pleasure seeker doing anything he can to have a good time.

Abilities: When Derek's body was corrupted by the alloy he gained more abilities than just the increased physical attributes of the nano bots. The basic ability was to take the form of anything that has relativity the same mass as he does. This allows him to shape shift into other things and other people. Derek is also able to turn various limbs of his body into weapons. Lastly he can melt down his structure and use this to get around obstacles, and enter humans to tear them from the inside out.

Though of course no one is without their faults and weaknesses. Temperatures in excess of 1535 degrees Celsius, such as those needed to smelt iron, could permanently alter the bonding processes of the mimetic poly alloy and can cripple Derek permanently. Corrosives, such as concentrated Hydrochloric Acid, can also damage Derek's structure. Extremely low temperatures are also a danger to Derek. Lastly magnetic fields can interfere with Derek's though process and he losses control of himself.

Appearance: Derek usually takes the form of his old self before the Achilles project: A tall, roughly 6'7, well-built African-American.

Though his "true" form resembles this:

G)Half-Demons

Which one of these things seems a little "average"?

Most of them. If you count average as "happening a lot", then cliche and average go hand in hand. Most of the ideas are cliche. Hence, mine would somewhat be the opposite of average.

But if you mean average as in boring... yeah, probally. Thought I should inject a little bit of normality into this though.

"Among the masses of people walking the street everyday, there appear only normal people with the slight excentric here and there. The truth is that there are special people everywhere. Magicians, deities, faeries, shapeshifters, 'mutants' and whatever you can name. Even a few that you can't. Normally they garner nothing but an odd look as they go about their daily buisness. But these days something is hunting them, often paired with dangerous endings. The community is scared, more so than usual. And paranoia leads to fear."

Well I'm just saying, as long as Samuel can find some way for your character to be hunted for what ever reason then I guess Alex will fit in fine.
