It's great to have you here, but looking through the first few pages, I can't see any sheets for your characters, and it's always nice for everyone to know a little about everyone else, so would you mind editing your sheets into your posts?

EDIT: idk, you can probably put it into your first post on page one so it's there for easier reference than having to remember page 8, and Doctor, I could put your sheet into my first post in the thread if you'd like, again for easier reference.

Maya stepped back away from Rin; the mysterious woman's new expression was starting to make her feel as frightened as her kitsune friend looked. She nervously squeezed her hands together while looking between the two challengers.

"Wha... What's she talking about Takeda?" she mumbled "What do you have to do for her?"

The kitsune boy's ears flattened down against his head meekly. He stared at the white orb as Rin held it just within reach, and he was tempted to try and grab it back. But her claw-like grip on it told him such an attempt would likely be fruitless.

Maya's question grabbed his attention back, and he looked back at her. Takeda crossed his arms and hugged himself tightly, then looked at the ground.

"If she won't give it back nicely . . . she can ask me to do something in return for it." he said softly, almost shamefully. With a small glance back up at Rin, he sighed and rocked slowly on his heels. "I can't break a promise . . ."

The boy sniffled and wiped his nose, then took a deep breath and looked up at the woman with a harder look in his eyes. "What do you want from me, Rin?" he asked, his voice suddenly taking on an unsettlingly mature quality. For that moment, his true age showed. He wasn't just any child.

Alec followed the short man until they both reached a small, "private-looking", graveyard.

"I don't get it, if you hide the bodies on a public graveyard, then how would anyone know that something isn't right?"

"You see, this isn't exactly a public graveyard. Tao Zheng research owns this place. It was disguised as a normal graveyard to avoid suspicion."

"But, if you have a private graveyard, why do you need me to FIND the bodies? Aren't they dug under the tombstones?"

"Once again I explain to you. This place is disguised, we couldn't organize the bodies,
otherwise if the public finds out about this, then they would find the bodies easily! Why must you be so thick!?"

"Ok, no more questions from me!" Alec was now afraid that the angry midget would alert the hunters and get him killed. But then, an idea came to him. He quickly took out the newspaper that he'd bought earlier, and threw it at the man's face. He ran at full speed towards the nearest grocery store in sight. If there are a lot of people at one place, then it would be harder to find him, Alec thought to himself. Just then, Alec felt a horrible pain at his chest, he looked down and saw what appeared to be a bullet wound. Alec's vision blurred as he fell to the ground, yet still alive...

Dr. Strauss had prepared for a long stake-out, waiting for someone who might not even exist to appear, but then, as was about to enter his first graveyard of the night, he overheard two people arguing. He cautiously approached the two figures, then he saw one of them running away while the other shot at him. Dr. Strauss froze, despite all of his attempts to control his emotions, he was terrified.

"Now we're talking!" Rin said approvingly to Takeda "Firstly there is something you should know about me, which is I'm special like both of you are. My particular ability, however, is to see and move through the very essence of time. I can see all of the many futures, how something as tiny as the flap of a butterfly's wing can lead to a bloody apocalypse. This is where you come in. There are two demons halfway across the world who unless stopped will lead to my death very soon. My request is this; you must try to kill them for me, for when I looked forwards I saw it will be impossible for you to fail."

She then turned to Maya "I didn't plan for you but you might as well come along too, I'm sure your invisibility will come in handy."

The woman bent down on one knee and held out the glowing orb "So young kitsune do I get the honour of returning your ball, in exchange for your agreement?"

Meanwhile in France Rin gave Lily a knowing look.

"So you think you know about what you refer to as 'the Predators'?" she chuckled and then lent close so only Lily and Rezetta could hear her. "Your mind would be destroyed if you even saw but a fraction of their true nature." she whispered "But don't fear, I know we are safe here today."

She moved back again with her followers, who were all standing around a little uncomfortably. "So you wish to know who I am, well I am the woman who will make you two fine demons rich, that's who I am! My foresight and planning, together with your powers, why we could rule the world!" She finished with a triumphant wave of her hand.

"I don't want to see a fraction of their true nature, I just want to stay out of sight like I've been doing since I killed four people. I'm glad we're safe though, and I thank you, or whoever is protecting us for that" Lily said, giving a slight nod to the number of people gathered behind Rin. "But ruling the world, -I assume- would mean I wouldn't have to hide any more, and is a very tempting offer." She continued, neglecting to mention that there wasn't a single demon standing in front of Rin. There was a half-demon and a telekinetic, but she fancied having an out in case she was pushed into anything. Being able to weasel out of things had always been a useful skill.

Just before Alec completely blacked out, he said what he thought would be his last words; "Help me." After that, the small man quickly and silently dragged the unconscience man to the building next to the grave yard. On it was a sign with the words: "Tao Zheng Bio Research corps."

"So sad, at least I wont have to remove this little projectile, hehe"

After a while, the little devil finally reached his destination. Inside the building, the man dragged Alec into a lab. There, he inserted a small computer chip into the thing he shot at Alec. The small bullet looking device glowed blue and beeped five times. As it did this Alec's skin closed up over it as if nothing had happened at all. Alec soon woke up surprised, he thought that he was dead, but instead he was sitting on the floor in a lab.

" Now you will learn the hard way that Tao Zheng does not like any sort of rebel. The thing I shot at you is a tracking beacon. You can't hide from us, ever."

Once the other two were gone, Dr. Strauss casually walked back to the street and checked a nearby map to help him find his appointment. To his surprise, the building he was looking for was right next to the graveyard he had just left. Dr. Strauss shrugged and strolled into the building through its automated sliding doors. He approached a nearby receptionist.

"Excuse me," he asked her, "My name is Dr. Strauss, I was contacted by a Mr. Kimura... he wanted to meet with me here, I'm afraid I got a little lost. Could you let him know I'm here and that I would be happy to make another appointment with him at his earliest convenience? Thank you."

The receptionist dialed Kimura's number.

I have no idea. All I know is that Kimura is the guy that invited my character to Jinan in the first place.

Zetta let out a sharp bark of laughter, shaking her head as eyes turned on her in surprise. She rubbed at her temple idly with a forefinger, giving Rin a rather dubious look. "Sorry, did I hear that right? 'Rule the world'? That seems a little cliche, doesn't it? Power and riches are nice and all I suppose, but..." She shook her head again, pausing to look at Lily's expressionless face. She had no idea what exactly was Lily thinking, and she now wasn't sure what to think about her herself. So she's killed four people at some point, she thought. That revelation didn't really surprise her; she'd come close to murder a few times herself back in her old career. Still, it reminded her that she really didn't know as much about Lily as she would have liked to admit.

Zetta took a deep breath before turning to look back at Rin. "Look, like my friend here has said, all I care about is living my life without appearing on somebody's radar. I've had quite a bit of the taste of a, ah, shall I say immoral lifestyle and I have no intent to turn back to it." Her short spiel finished, she folded her arms tightly over her chest and added in her head, Plus, nothing this lot could say would really get me to trust them so quickly. I really don't like the look of these guys.

Not for the first time that day, Maya felt confused.

Does this mean Rin isn't nice? she thought I know demons are evil, so why can't she ask Takeda rather than making him kill them?

As hard as she tried though she couldn't think of an answer to this conundrum; it just reminded her of her mother's warnings never to have faith in anyone except her.

What if mummy was right, what I can't trust anyone, even Takeda? she pondered but then she forced this unwelcome thought out of her mind, for if she couldn't believe in the kitsune then she couldn't believe in anyone.

Rin nodded her head in agreement as Myrddin returned holding a couple of glasses of orange juice and two sandwiches, pushing them into the hands of Rezetta and Lily without a word before walking sulkily back out of the room.

"I suppose it is a little clichéd isn't it?" she said "I haven't told you about myself yet though. I'm a master of time, I can see all of the many possible futures laid out in front of me like a infinitely branched tree. I can see that together, my ability to predict combined with your many useful powers could lead to a new world, a better world! Tell me, what is it that you most utterly desire?"

Meanwhile on the other side of the world the receptionist in Tao Zheng's offices handed Dr. Strauss a telephone. From it came a deep but fast voice speaking in almost perfect English.

"Hello Dr. Strauss, this is Mr. Kimura, I am so relieved you are finally here! We are both in grave danger, my assistant Dr. Yang has locked me in my own room and is trying to carry out a ridiculous experiment on some poor American he pulled in off the street. Please you must stop him before it's too late. He's up in room A101 on the 2nd floor. Use any force necessary as long you don't kill him, the last thing we need is another dead body lying around!"

With that the caller hung up without even waiting for the doctor to reply.

Dr. Strauss ran upstairs and towards Dr. Yang's room. He pushed past several lab techs, knocked an orderly over, and nearly made skin-to-skin contact with someone coming out of a bathroom. He finally made it the metal and plastic door of Dr. Yang's lab.

"What the hell is going on?" he demanded, "Why did you lock Kimura up in his office?"

Okay, IDK, that's your que to take over Dr. Yang. Jojo told me that we can both control Dr. Yang, but Jojo will control Mr. Kimura for now.

Takeda took a deep breath as he looked at his treasured ball, held right in front of him by Rin. It was a difficult deal to take. He didn't want to kill anyone, even if they were demons. Not all demons were evil, he knew. Maybe they were just people Rin didn't like; after all, some people thought kitsune were demons.

It seemed he didn't have any choice, though. And if she was telling the truth, he would be successful anyway. "Yes . . ." he said finally, putting out his hand. "I'll do it."

"Oh no! American scum, did you call for help!?"

"No! I have no idea who that is behind that door!"

"You'll pay for this!"

*Dr.Yang was attempting to escape out of the window, apparently hoping that the fall wont kill him, however Alec was already on his feet, and opened the door to the lab*

"Please don't hurt me if you're with Tao Zheng, I had enough today."

"Dr. Yang?"

Dr. Strauss took a cursory glance into lab. It was mostly filled with a lot of standard lab equipment; test tubes, computers, burners, etc. But it also had two operating tables, one with a fresh body still on it... with its rib cage exposed. Dr. Strauss turned his gaze back to Alec, and thought he had stepped into an Indiana Jones movie.

"What the hell is going on?"

"First you tell me, you were screaming that this guy locked up a Dr.Kim, who is he? Also I think its a good idea to leave this place, these people know, and they don't seem like very nice people because they wanted me to hide all of the evidence of others dying here! Seriously, I'm being tracked now! I want to get out of here before anything else happens!"

Said Alec with mixed emotions showing on his face. He was frustrated and scared, he had an unidentified device jammed under his skin, and his power was claimed to be known by a mad man

This day just cant get any worse, it just cant! I mean, first my job, now this god know's what is in my body! Maybe if I survive the next few days, and get back to America safely, I can write a bestselling book about what goes on here.

'An infinitely branched tree?' Lily thought 'Infinity is fundamentally impossible to understand. You can't account for every possibility. You can probably plan for the 1000 most likely possibilities, but you can't account for the possibility that you're about to get crushed by a ton of bananas that spontaneously appeared, because of the sheer implausibility of it. You aren't a master of time. You're just a watcher, and you clearly haven't watched yourself closely enough to realise that'

Lily gave a wry smile and said "If you know every possible future, you should know that already" deciding against letting out a small giggle.
