Hey you can look at mine! But don't... Nosy people!

OT: Some of the forum admins are complete idiots, one stalked my profile and probated/suspended all of my comments on that day, then when I complained nothing happened, ah nerds with power can't be trusted.[footnote]Moderator Edit: Please do not insult the administrators of the forums. If you have a complaint, please message Kuliani. Thanks![/footnote]
No offense but that was not your smartest move.

OT: I look at people's so I can see what not to do. People may see the punishments as unfair but you generally receive plenty of warning before you cross too far over the line.

Furburt was very amusing. Especially when teaming up with Hubilub. But it's true, lots of posts somehow mean status.
Yeah, they were amusing. I kinda miss them both. Hubilub ate a requested ban, and Furburt just decided to stop posting >.>
Would have been nice if they were still around and active nowadays >.>
I think they left because of Demented Teddy's perma-ban >.>
Oh well, maybe they will let her back one day... I kinda hope so. Others have come back from more than one perma ban, and one of the mods was perma-banned once before he got his position >.>
Demented teddy's a goner? Shame, but that certainly explains why I haven't seen her in a while. And I thought Hubs was simply posting on the members section now.

I never did, until I got probation myself. :p Now I usually check to see if my offense was what people usually get probation for.

I've just never heard the majority of users mirroring these thoughts.

Perhaps its that people don't bring up things that aren't a problem.

All I can go by is the people that talk and my own experiences.
Well, I would urge all users who think they were wrongfully punished to try an appeal. It is always worth a try if you feel yourself to be innocent, and cannot see anything you said having broken any of the rules.
I'm not sure how many do appeal, though. The appeals are a staff thing only, so moderators have no hand in them. However, on certain things like warnings and probations, we can deal with, or at least attempt to help with, so on the lower punishments, PMing a mod can also work. A second pair of eyes looking at a post can see things differently, so more opinions are always useful.
I think I went a bit off track there >.>

Every single one. Partly to see what not to do, partly cuz I'm curious and partly cuz it can be funny. I think it's a great feature.

I always do unless I've already seen it. Just knowing what not to do, even though I have a fairly good idea by this point.

My previous account got banned.

This one of the few forums where you have to actually watch out what you posts. Mods like to throw probations out quite easily.

Oh of course! There was this one guy in particular who got suspended because he somehow managed to turn a user's post into a phallic shape. I think the only reason he didn't get banned was because the mods were laughing too hard!

I don't usually bother. Often, just based on the title of the given topic alone, you can guess what they probably posted with reasonable accuracy.

I usually do. But I also wonder why the heck so many people have them. I just got here and I've already seen like four. This kind of misbehavior isn't frequent on other places I... well, frequent. So either the rule enforcement is a bit more uptight on here, or The Escapist just naturally attracts hooligans.
The moderators on this site run a tight ship. As long as you respect others, you're usually fine. However, it doesn't take much sometimes to get suspended. I was suspended for a week for making a joke about pirated games a few months ago.

I've only gotten one warning (not even a probation). I agreed with an opinion of the Extra credits guys on their video on piracy about how if the game is old and impossible to find, it should be ok.

I do usually check out others' modwrath-incurring posts, especially if they were banned for it.

I do, I just like to see what not to do. It was a Mac vs Windows thread so it got into flaming quickly. Sadly this led to a picture of a girl eating shit out of a dude's ass one day, so that was a bad day.

Actually, mods in the future could you remove pictures of that nature? Cause I mean, that was a bad day. x.x

I did it on myself once, too. It felt like the post is not mine, but I clearly remember posting it. Lol.
