Well this is the stupidest thing ever. Either the game should have a filter or it shouldn't. Microsoft shouldn't censor ever single thing you can type in. That's stupid. Having an in game censer for games that are T or under makes sense, but what if the games M rated? The people playing it aren't going to mind seeing ass or fuck, hell they use it all the time along with ******, ******, **** and whatever other slur they can think of.

Just... so stupid...

He's right. I tried last night and it said it was unacceptable due to "profanity." Nevermind that no one can see names of your classes, or that it's an M-rated game.
I made a class this morning: Assault. Works fine.

We need to apply a language filter to protect all the 13 year olds playing a rated M game...wait what?
I never actually thought of that. I suppose it's out of decency though.

Then they changed it last night, because that's when I tried.

I don't think they don't want people saying "assault" specifically, but their profanity filter is just lazy coding. It should have exceptions, and obviously "assault" is top on that list. I too had that problem, as I always name my sub-machine gun class "heavy assault". I don't want to call if rifleman, that doesn't even make sense.

Whoever coded the profanity filter obviously didn't give a damn about making it reasonable, neither did the testers, neither did the company executives. It's embarrassing really.

It's totally bullshit!

I tried to make an "Assault" class just now, and it says I can't do it because of profanity. Even a with a space like "A ssault" it doesn't work.

Wow Treyarch, just wow.

The filters are for mature 14 year olds like myself -with overprotective parents- that turn it off when the parents are gone.
