So, Escapees (is it Escapees?), I was curious about what you did for a living. Or, for those people who are not employed: What do you want to do for a living (if you mention "Blowjob tester" or something, you're a tool)?

But there's more! Does what you do/want to do for a living fit into any of your life's passions? If so, what?

Personally I just got a new job as a computer salesman at a popular electronics store. I'm also in charge of the gaming/computer accessories area. So I'm pretty stoked with that, seeing as I'm around computers all day, and I get to sell and be an authority on things I'm passionate about.

So?

I just got a job in stock control, but I fucking love Batman.

I think nothing shy of working with comic books would create a strong link between profession and passion.

I love my job as a Pizza Delivery Driver. I can double my paycheck with tips sometimes, I love driving, and time flies. Of course, I can't live on $800 a month for the rest of my life.

I'm studying to be a teacher. God help me.

I want to become a Psychologist or Psychiatrist. I'll figure out which one once I've started school. I'm currently taking some high school level courses on Psychology, and am absolutely loving them. So, I think I've been lucky enough to find a career that will support my family (one day, right?) but one that I will enjoy just as much.

I currently work as a lifeguard at a water park, and I'm studying to be a teacher, but what I really wanted to be was...a lumberjack!

Buttered scones for tea?

OT: I work as a barista, and I do love it. I'm passionate about coffee and tea, and all the neat things I can do with and to them.

However, my true passion in life is knowledge, and the sharing thereof. I want to be a teacher, but if I had my way (and could make decent money doing it), I'd want to be an archivist or work for the Library Of Congress.

Indeed, I have already been accepted into a Psych course at university starting next year. I'd Psychology is one of my life passions, and it's what I intend to do for the rest of my life.

I want to work for Bethesda, though any developers I dont hate would work too. I don't know if I will actually manage to become part of a dev company though. Been doubting my ability to learn what I must...

Graphic designer. I love it.

It's really just problem solving, which I love, on the visual level.

I work in a bakery. It's alright, but it's something I want to do for the rest of my life, it's just a little extra income so I can go places.

Monty Python reference, awesome.

OT: Personally, I want to go into journalism and writing in general. Perhaps get a novel published one day. Considering that writing is my hobby (second only to gaming), I'd say that fits in pretty well.

Exactly the sort of attitude that will prevent your success I'm afraid. It's a hell of a business to attempt to get into, so you've gotta be absolutely dead-set on it.
I want to do the exact same thing and am currently working through A-Level Theatre Studies after having studied it for GCSE. I'm also frequently doing other performances outside of school hours including filming on the set of a Channel 4 drama that passed through my hometown a few weeks ago. In short, it's both my passion and my desired proffession.

Currently unemployed, but would like to be an author of fiction - that being based on whether or not I can actually finish a story one of these years - or working in video-game development, problem with that being I don't actually have any ability with game development whatsoever... Outside Warcraft III World Editor, but that doesn't count.

Maybe I should write some horrible work of fiction that can be conjured up in a week without much effort, market it to a stupidly predictable age bracket (teens and pre-teens), and make millions. Then, I shall enlist a game company to take on one of my many game ideas... if that would work.

Hey, I can dream.
