Ok, so the title might be a bit obscure, but whenever a program on my computer makes a sound it CRASHES. AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHY. Even the Windows sound thing crashes when I try to open it. I've looked all over the internet and I don't think anyone else has has this problem. I've run virus checks, restarted everything, re-installed all of my drivers, and even uninstalled Skype because someone said it might help. The confusing part is that web browsers can still make sound, so I can watch YouTube and stuff. But I have USB HEADPHONES SO THE SOFTWARE CRASHES WHEN I TRY TO.
This has me really on edge since Steam gave me an error earlier, and I guess it made a sound because it suddenly crashed, and now it wont re-open.
I know this post is really vague and poorly written, but I'm at wits end and becoming really aggravated over this. Can anyone provide any clue as to what is even going on?
Here are my system specs and other things that may or may not help:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
8gb DDR3 RAM
P8P67 LE Motherboard
ATI Radeon HD 570 Graphics Card
Intel i5-2500k Quab-core CPU
CD/DVD-ROM Drive
Logitech G930 Headset
D-Link DWA-556 N PCIe Wireless Desktop Adapter
And I use Advanced Systemcare for my anti-virus and related.
If there's any other information that might help, just ask.
Thanks in advance for any help.
