No you won't. These movies are made for the kids and the parents, who are forced to sit through the movie that their kid wants to see. So instead of making a movie that is mind numbingly dull for the parents, but visually enjoyable for the kid, they do a really radical thing. They make a visually enjoyable movie, with a good plot and humor, so that the adults are entertained too!!Samtemdo8 said:

I just feel I had my fill of Animated Kid's movies I mean after watching The Increadibles and Up I feel there is nothing more for me to see in Kid's movie. Right now the only cartoon I hope for and eager to see is the Adult Swim Samurai Jack finale and so far no news have came out since its intial announcement:

I don't think that's unreasonable - I've seen The Jungle Book, The Peanuts Movie, Goosebumps, Kung Fu Panda 3, Zootopia, and The Angry Birds movie this year, and apart from Zootopia, I was by my lonesome. I can personally attest that I at least got the sense that some of the parents with their children were wondering what I was doing there.Happyninja42 said:
That isn't a critique against the movies themselves (well, Angry Birds was dog-shite, but the others ranged from okay to excellent), but the idea that cartoons are just for kids, or that a "kid's film" can't be intelligent is still a prevailing one.
Zootopia will definitely get a sequel, a very shitty sequel like Disney does 99% of the time. The topic/s should be what the director would personally like to delve into and not forced in anyway to follow the usual sequel formula.

"By my lonesome" as in I wasn't with any friends or family, Zootopia being the exception. That reason I have zero issue with. "I just don't like most animated films, and don't find them worth my time" is a perfectly valid opinion. Feel free to dislike them on those merits. My issue was with your statement of "I'm an adult, I shouldn't be going to kid's movies in the theater", which I felt was simply inaccurate, based on the fact that most of them are called "Family Films" these days, implying they are made so that the entire family can enjoy them, not just kids. And I would agree, most of the animated films I've seen over the last few years, have been very enjoyable for me as an adult. Either due to the adult humor they put in there, or the adult themes they put in (like with Zootopia most recently, though How to Train Your Dragon also did this really well IMO). The visuals are usually quite beautiful, and the story doesn't revolve around piles of bodies and asplosions. So I enjoy them personally. But hey, we all have different tastes in entertainment. Millions of people love musicals, and I can't fucking stand them. Millions of people enjoy comedy movies of the quality level of your average Adam Sandler or Will Ferrel, and I wish both of those men would just stop working in the fucking entertainment industry.
