Anyway,Prometheus was a shit movie, the same as Transformers, but worse slightly.
It's the same because its nothing but marshmallow fluff designed to set up big set piece scenes in chronological order, to push tickets at IMAX theaters.
Its worse slightly, because to my knowledge Transformers isn't a lie. Micheal Bay has never claimed to be creating art or making a meaningful movie with a philosophical message steeped in allegory. Micheal Bay said he'd give you hot chics bent over muscle cars and lots of Micheal Baysplosions. His audience came for that. He delivered.
James Cameron lied. He said we were getting a science fiction prequel to Alien. Instead we got this:
And when people called him on that, he double downed on his lies and tried to say that the movie was some sort of pseudo philosophical religious treatise, when in reality there's no meaningful way to interpret the events of the movie so that this plays out.
