Pros and cons of being bald?

So I'm getting a haircut soon, and I've considered just getting rid of it all. It will be a fresh beginning, a first step on a new journey.

Escapees who have been/are bald here, what can you tell me of the pros and cons of the bald way of life?

Pros:
- cheaper/easier grooming
- will better relate to the aliens when they arrive

Cons:
- head gets more exposure to elements
- not everyone has a good shaped head for it

You'd be surprised at how much cooler your head can get when you've shaved your hair off for the first time (good in the summer, bad in the winter). And if it's summer time, you just might have to start applying sunscreen to the top of your head.

Some people can pull off the shaved head look, others not so much. But hey, you'll never know if you don't try. Worst case, it looks bad and you need a few weeks to have it grow back to an acceptable length.

Pro = You are much more streamlined and aerodynamic. Shave your legs and arms too for maximum glidiness

Con = Not very tactical. God forbid you are trying to evade the sights of an enemy sniper, when the suns rays glint off your shiny domepiece.

I shaved my head for a while while I was a swimmer. Personally, I didn't think it was that great. It looked fine, but I hated that my head got cold extremely fast and I had to wear hats a lot (and I'm not really a big fan of most hats). Personally I would only shave my head again if I was already going bald naturally, otherwise if you still have a full head of hair I would recommend against it.

Some people can pull off the shaved head look, others not so much. But hey, you'll never know if you don't try.

I'm 90% sure if I shaved my head bald, people would think I was undergoing chemo. I'd generally recommend against full bald on skinny dudes for this reason. Crew cuts are just a bit more hair, and would keep people from jumping to this conclusion.

For some guys, it looks great and it's a great way to not have male pattern baldness.

The more important question here is whether or not you can grow facial hair. Unless you have a beard you can't go bald.

- If a girl asks you for a mirror, you just give the top of your head a good rub and bend over. The view is amazing, if you know what I mean.

- None what-so-ever.

My brother-in-law is bald and apparently it's really cool in the summertime, so there's that.

You run the risk of looking like an axe murderer, though. That might be something to avoid. Or not, depending on your personal outlook on life.

A good place to jot notes if you don't have a pad handy
Valid reason to start buying lots of hats
Go to Halloween parties as a bowling ball
Make it nice and shiny so people can locate you in a crowd
People will rub you for good luck
Don't need to start picking hairs out of your meals before you can eat

Cons: You'll be bald.
You cant do any of my pro's

Pros of the top of my head: Easy to take care of, some people look better without hair some don't it might look weird at first but you get used to it.
Cons: Some might have some strange first impressions against bald people... nothing else coming to mind really

if you didn't shave your head but just can't grow hair it's a style choice forced upon you
pro:
if you are a girl the hairstyle is not very common making you truly unique.
