hah, now we're all really surprised to find out Bungie loves firefly. there's a sergeant Reynolds who just 'happens' to be voiced by Nathan Fillion, and of course half your squad in ODST is voiced by firefly actors. would've been cooler if the animations and cutscenes hadn't been so utterly horrible though. that opening scene was nails-on-chalkboard painful to watch...

Ah you mean Gunnery Sargeant Buck, with Nathan Fillion's face which is lulz, plus Dutch being voiced by the one and only Adam Baldwin, with Mickey being voiced by Mr. Alan Tudyk. Tis the main reason I enjoyed ODST so much, it felt like an unofficial continuation of Firefly x)

Plus Gunnery Sargeant Buck reappears in Halo: Reach for a very short while, made me smile at least

I included Buck in 'half your squad'.
there's a sergeant reynolds on Sierra 117, the first level of halo 3. Johnson talks to him over the radio and he's the guy you save by shooting the brute who's holding him on that fallen tree. I think he's also the sergeant at the start of Tsavo Highway, the one who tells you to "mount up, get the hell out of these caves"
I didn't know he was in Reach though, my xbox broke and microsoft wanted to make me pay 100 bucks to repair it cause it wasn't a RROD. if it had been, they'd have done it for free. so I thought screw you and I got a PS3. means I can't play reach though, which is kindof a shame.
