Also, don't trust dxdiag, mine says I've got 3039MB which is obviously false as I have 1280MB (GF570).
I know this didn't help at all, just wanted to point out that a GPU with less than 512MB VRAM is more than capable of displaying a higher resolution than 1280x720. And that dxdiag isn't trustworthy.
yeah what i was saying was that with this particualr game they put artificail limits on the game so if you only have 512mb or less you have access to smaller res.
i guess it was an attempt to improve performance, so people dont put setting on high with a high resolution.

that is from SR lab. that is 3 different source saying i have 2.7GB or more video ram.
So ill sumarise my question again since we got derailed by DBZ and one really unhelpful dude.
Prototype in an attempt to improve performance put limits on resolutions avaliable.
Video cards have improved dramatically since 2009 and now prototype seems to be unable to see that i meet the recommended setting for VRAM by like 500%.
Is there any way to force it to display at 1970 by 1080 resolution so that the game isnt in a little box that uses like 50% of the screen?
