Yes. It is a shame that she's fallen off the face of the Earth. This love interest between her and Sparrow would have had this thing on page 65, I bet.

To make it weirder, I was watching something on the History Channel about how gang violence in Chicago often causes civilian casualties. I hope it wasn't an omen.

Oh yeah. I'd be posting, but everyone in the hotel seems to have been written into corners. Damn.

 

[SamuelT]

Samuel read the note Sparrow gave him. The last few words were the most intriguing. Stay safe, which meant she didn't want him to die, which lead to her wanting to work with Sparrow. This confirmed his 'seducing' thought. The rest was pretty straightforward. Lydia was captured by Doc and Nine.

"So. We know where Lydia might be. We know where Nine and Doc are. We know it's almost certainly a trap. Who's ready for some attack-and run?"

 

[Sparrow]

Sparrow wouldn't say anything even if he could, but he thought the same as Samuel. They kidnap part of the team, then just give her back? It didn't make any sense.

Still, "stay safe"? Even if it is a trap, what meaning does that have behind it? This whole thing is just getting more complex with every second.

Sparrow patted Emily and Patrick on the face, who snapped out of their trances. Iceous was still pratting about with his cat, and didn't seem to have payed any attention to what Samuel had said. Sparrow picked up his cat, who proceeded to bite him, and placed it down on the coffee table. He then gestured for him to hurry up.

Sarah was looking out of the window still. Sparrow hadn't wanted to say it, but she'd become as distant with the group as Emily and Patrick. Maybe all their lives were getting too much for them. Sparrow placed his hands on Sarah's shoulders to get her attention. She turned to him, her eyes seemingly blank, turned to his. He showed a weak smile, and grabbed her hand, leading her toward the group.

 

[Masika]

Razi read the note. She couldn't believe it. The note seemed too real. Her mind reeled over and over about all the things she could remember from before the lab. All of the different things she wanted to do. All of the many reasons she worked so hard for helping people around her. Her dream was to help humanity improve it's standards and come together for the well being of humans all around.

"No..." Razi whispered.

She stood and walked to the mirror. "This is who I am. I still believe in working for the betterment of humanity." An angered girl looked back at her. Thoughts flew through her mind, "I need to show them how they need to be good. Humans need to know what they are doing to each other! They need to know!" Razi started shouting.

In a flash, she spun around, "Lydia! I will make them see! Nothing about me has changed! That leter had to of been forged." In two steps she was inches from Lydia's nose. "You've done nothing to help me! If you don't help me, what else are you good for?" Razi could see the fear in the girl's eyes and it made her happy.

 

[Masika]

"You're not my friend." Razi turned and walked back to the mirror. "Sometimes, you have to kill the bad to make room for the good. Locking a persn up and preventing them from fulfilling their life's goal, that is bad. And those scientists paid for it." Her fist shot out and shattered the mirror. "This is me."

I thought Doc had left the room? Lydia wouldn't have said all this if he was still present. Besides, she's about to start ranting about Doc in a minute as well, so he's definitely not supposed to be in the room.

"Hearing shattering, Doc immediately opened the door and strolled inside. Razi was stood with a bleeding fist and Lydia was still sat on her chair, looking both frightened and angry."

Razi looked at Lydia with deep anger blazing in her eyes. At the rate that I was being moved along at was, I would have been finished by the time I was thirty. I'm nineteen Lydia! By that time my dream would have been dead anyway. The only way I would have been able to do anything was to act. And act I did."

She took Lydia's chin in her bleeding hand and continued to stare into her eyes, "And guess what sweetheart, I will continue to act!" A smile crept upon her face, "I don't have to do it alone either. Not anymore. I've got Doc. He doesn't yet know just how powerful I can be. Together, my dream will come true!"

 

[Masika]

"No!" Razi could understand what Lydia was trying to tell her. Doc was bad? But that couldn't be true. He defended her agasint the prototypes. They tried to get her! "No! Lydia you're lying to me! Everything that you've told me has been a lie. You said you wanted to help me, but no! You haven't. You're trying to get me back in to a lab." With a momentary pause, she looked at Lydia and realised what was happening, "That's what you've wanted all along. You want to push me farther into a hole in the Earth to experiment. You've got that wrong! Doc and I will take this planet and we will show humans what it means to live in equality!"

 

[Masika]

"Lydia, this is who I am and there is no changing it. If you cannot help me reach my true power, then there is no way that you can help me." Razi glared at Lydia. She was becoming fed up with this woman sitting in front of her.

 

[Masika]

"I threw them somewhere here," Lydia was begining to see things the way Razi wanted her to and she began to calm down, "Lucky I remembered to bring them when we ditched that ambulance." Razi shuffled through the items in the drawers and found the case. She pulled it out and placed it on the bed. "Now what?"
