Prototypes: Super Hero RP (Finished)

[SamuelT]

"Lead..." Samuel said trailing off into thought.

"Perhaps the heat can be too much for it, but if you can change into lead, and perhaps protect Sarah while she keeps off the heat, you might get a good look around."

After a pause, he continued.

"Though I don't know what you're expecting to find in a crater..."

 

[Sparrow]

"Lead. Right. Absords radiation. That could work."

Sparrow scratched his chin in confusion. There wasn't much they were going to find in a crater, but it would still be interesting to give it a look. Lethal, but interesting.

"Alright, fine. You guys get ready. However it is that you get ready to check out a crater, that is. I'll feed the dog. I don't reckon we'll be back to feed him in time."

Chewy ran about the room in joy, revelling in the fact he'd be getting an early dinner.

"Chewy, get off the damn couch."

 

[Combined]

Nikolai looked at the flag, as if it was mocking him, flowing free in the wind.
He extended his hand and the flag burned, the stars and the stripes devoured by the fire of Soviet radiation.

His appearance shifted slightly, before he changed into a businessman that he saw on an advertisement before leaving New York.

"Ah, the shell of filthy capitalist dogs. Should cover me. For now."

 

[SamuelT]

A few minutes later...

Samuel sat backed in the back of the horrible Mini that was Sparrow's, with Rosa pressing against his shoulder to the right. Reese was next to her, and Sparrow and Sarah were in the front. His bag containing his laptop and other things that might be helpful pressed against his shins.

It was really uncomfortable.

"Hey, you mind going yet before they set off the entire area for civilians? They do that with nuclear attacks, you know."

 

[StarStruckStrumpets]

Rosa sat sulking squashed against Samuel.

"You always kill my buzz! I am perfectly capable, but no, apparently I just can't manage! Hmph."

Rosa turned, folded her arms, and pouted the whole way there.

 

[Fraught]

"Cover you?" Sander bursted out, laughing with a baffled face.
"You don't need cover. Remember what we wanted to do with that house?" he said.
He turned his head toward the house, squinting his eyes.
"Hehe."
In a second, all of them were far closer to the house, Sander feeling his head getting a bit dizzy, and his hair brushed backwards due to the friction of air particles.
Looking back at the house, the sides of the doorway were red. Red with blood. There was a man floating above the house, who suddenly was gone, his body now thrown towards the sun, slowly starting to fall towards the roofs of skyscrapers.
"It's so...beautiful," Sander said, taking off the sunglasses he put on very recently.

"Anyway, you don't need cover. We don't need to try to blend in with the crowd in that house, we just take over, and," he said, looking back at everyone else, grinning evilly, "leave no witnesses."

 

[Combined]

Nikolai crossed his arms, glaring at Sander. "Security cameras. Direct line, probably. Naturally, the owner or owners of this facility are going to have some interesting files of their employees imploding and getting splattered. Should have checked if security room was here before taking over. Much quieter that way, no possibility of being purposefully discovered."

His appearance changed back into his regular guise, then he continued. "Must clean up now, then find sterile room. Then, global domination, global annihilation, whatever you want."

 

[Fraught]

"Hmph," Sander said, looking away from the Russian.
"Being so careful is just not fun," he continued, his eyes widening again, and his mouth turning into a wide crescent.
"So, my compadres, let's go crush those insects if we already started!"

 

[Sparrow]

The ragtag group of Prototypes, stuffed into the Mini like sardines, slowly moved down the motorway. It was generally clear, with the bulk of the cars going in the opposite direction. At one point, they were on the only car on the motorway that wasn't a news van.

"We must look like a right bunch of weirdos.", he laughed, "I wonder if we can get a reception."

Sparrow flipped through each of the radio stations. Most were based in, or around New York. The static that filled the air silenced the group. It was a grim reminder of the days events.

"Well, let's just stick in a CD. What have we got... Bon Jovi? Who put-- oh, never mind. Spice Girls? Are you kidding me?"

 

[SamuelT]

Samuel laughed silently as he created more and more ludicrous CD's. He stopped when Sparrow thred the Meatloaf case out of the car.

After a while, Samuel could see the residu of the explosion: A mushroom cloud. Still very faint, but visible, on the horizon.

"Wait, haven't we always looked like a bunch of weirdos?" Sarah looked out of the window and to the city. "Well, this certainly is going to be interesting. The last time we looked into a crater we found some pretty interesting stuff."

She sat back and sighed. "Why do I get the feeling that we're just heading towards trouble?"

 

[Sparrow]

"Because we're heading toward a nuclear blast? What about that doesn't scream trouble?"

Sparrow emptied the box of CD's out of the window, furious at the terrible content it contained.

"How about we play I Spy?"

He was met with silence.

"Alright, fine. Jeez, tough crowd."

"That's not what I meant.. Never mind." Sarah grabbed the stack of CDs from Sparrow and looked through them. The selection was awful.

"Wow, these are all terrible. Who's CDs are these?"

 

[Time Travelling Toaster]

"I can give you a buzz," Reese grins evily at Rosa, a spark crackling between his fingers.

"Just put something on," he mutters dropping his hand, "unless it's ABBA, I can't freaking stand ABBA," he grunts looking out the small window.

 

[Katherine Kerensky]

Von Bernkastel shivered slightly at the sight of the blood-covered doorway, and hastened his steps to follow the others through the doorway. He was behind the others, so they did not seem to notice when he started to shake violently. He continued to shake for a few seconds, before slumping against a wall.

Rufus reached up with one trembling hand to remove the sunglasses and put them in a pocket. Some blood dripped to the floor. He briefly touched just under his nose, before holding the hand before his eyes, the fingertips slick with blood. He looked down the corridor, where he could see some people being pulled apart or turned into human-torches, or worse. He phased through the wall he was leaning against, into an empty room, where he found an armchair to sit in. He put his head back against the rest, closed his eyes, and tried to relax. He could still hear shouting, so there must still be survivors in the building. Not for much longer, he thought, and tried to block out the screams.

 

[Sparrow]

The little mini pulled up, not too far from the radiation zone. They exchanged concerned looks, before they all clambered out of the car.

"What a sight.", Sparrow whistled, looking around, "Did anyone bring a camera?"

 

[StarStruckStrumpets]

"Yeah...just allow me to pull one out of my ass, thats where I keep cameras for this sort of random occurance."

Rosa pulled a horrible scowl.

"You realise Sarah going in alone is troublesome right? She said it herself, and women's intuition is never wrong. What if a mutant thing wants to claw her face off?"

Rosa was desperate for an excuse to use her powers, cleaning the house had become insanely boring.

 

[Sparrow]

"Well, she might not be going in alone. I mean, Samuel can always pull some kind of backward power out of thin air to get through most situations. And, y'know, my powers are partially returning. I could, in theory, give it a go."

They were dangerously nearing the fallout zone, not that any of them really knew exactly where it was.

"We've done some stupid things before, but this is by far one of the most stupid."

 

[StarStruckStrumpets]

"Or you could put your faith in me for once and let me put up a barrier or something? Y'know, I'd hate to be glorified a little bit, I just hate the media attention..."

The funny thing was, before, Rosa did, now her and her other had become more in tune, she dreamed a 14 year-old girl's dream...to be a star!

 

[SamuelT]

"Well, there was that time you ran into a burning building."

He laughed after he dodged a punch directed at him.

"Besides, you know I'm bad at directing temperature. I think Rosa's more valuable in this situation."
