Rosa raised Razi, as if it were poker. Her energy levels increased significantly.

"It might well have been over if you stopped talking!"

A glowing punch swung towards Razi's face.

We'll now it seems like I have no choice. Sarah thought to herself. Her flames flickered white and she looked over at Rosa. Well she's a lot stronger than I initially thought.

Sarah shot fireballs at Razi, hitting her a few times in the torso. I can't see because of all this damn smoke.

Samuel, and Razi according to her expression, were completely caught off guard by the seemingly fragile girl punching a genetic god right in the face. Razi was flung out of the air and against Reece, who was still getting up from dodging her for the first time. He grabbed her ankle and appearantly electrocuted her. When he released her, she was still twitching.

Samuel quickly wove her limbs into the concrete floor below her. It'd keep her restrained, and if he kept a tight focus she wouldn't get away. He felt the accompanying headaches after a small minute, but he would endure it. He sat down at her head and kept concentrating.

"Sarah, if you would?" He said, gesturing.

about not posting D: but I'm mostly back now >.>

"That was...handy," Reese jokes, watching Samuel restrain Razi with his mind.

"Who is she anyway?" he asks no-one in particular.

Sarah walked towards Razi, her right hand engulfed in white flames, and a solemn look on her face. She looked at Razi in the eyes.

"I'm sorry Razi, but it looks like you failed your mission. Maybe next time kid."

Raising her arm towards the sky Sarah swiftly brought it down, striking Razi in the chin, jerking her head to the right, and subsequently snapping her neck.

Sparrow flinched slightly as Sarah's fist went down, the sickening crack making him look away. The others seemed to calm down, breathing heavily. For a moment the group stood in silence. It was over.

We're free.

Sparrow took off his jacket and threw it over Razi's face, obscuring her beaten and white face from view. He opened his mouth to talk, but swiftly shut it.

I figured we might get two miracles in one day. Suppose we'll have to make do with one.

The group stood around the body for a few seconds whilst he looked out from the burning window onto the body of Doc below. Sparrow smirked, looking up the sky. Maybe they'd have a chance to be human for once, but he wasn't optimisitc.

We should get going before this building comes down on our heads. Wouldn't want an anti-climactic victory.

"She was Razi. The unofficial 'perfection' of what created you and me." Samuel said in response to Reece's question. He took the jacket Sparrow had thrown on Razi and gave it back to him. He heard Rosa's mentioning of rumbling.

"They do after you've torched half the place." He said. "C'mon. Lets get out of here."

"Nice to see they used us as templates for a psychotic *****..." Reese grimaces.

"These buildings are...crap if they can't stand up to a light roasting," he mumbles picking his way out after the others.

Sarah followed behind the others, not saying a word. Her hand was a bit singed from the white flame but it'd heal on it own.

Now we can put all of this behind us and try to lead normal lives. But we are who we are.. and that has always seemed to prevent us from being normal.

She put her hands in her pocket and felt a small piece of paper. Taking it our her pocket she unrolled it.

It said: "We're not running anymore. We're not hiding. If the world won't accept us, we'll force them to." It was a note that Sparrow had given her a while back.

After a few more minutes she walked next to Samuel and handed it to him, not saying a word.

Here ends this arc. I thank you all greaty for being part of this resurrection of Prototypes. We'll continue this story in another arc. By request of Sparrow, and my own, we're skipping a small period of time. A year and a half. The events are explained by small pieces of Samuel's log. No one seemed to object with what happens in the skip, so I assume this is okay with you.

Doc's dead.

Can't actually believe I just wrote that. Doc's dead. I killed him. There are no loose ends anymore, no one to murder or to interrogate. They're all gone.

They got to us though. Of the original seven, only Sarah, Sparrow, Iceous and I have survived. Oh yeah, Iceous dissapeared. I returned to that bench I left him last night, and apart from a bit of blood, nothing was left of him. I suppose he ran off. He was talking about leaving us soon.

Sometimes I feel guilty about dragging Emily into this, she didn't really have to come along. She paid for it with her soul and life. Razi I don't regret. Sarah striking her down was only just.

From now on, we're going to take it easy. Settle down somewhere. We all agreed that we'd stay together. I doubt I can pry Sparrow away from Sarah anyway. The newer subjects are all a bit scared. But we'll take care of them.

Sarah gave me a note yesterday, stating that the world would accept us or we'd force them to accept us. Never thought she'd be the cold one.

-Samuel

Never thought I'd be happy to see paper-cut pink hearts.

Rosa and Reese are adjusting pretty well. They've been kinda 'adopted' by the nausiatingly cute couple. Sparrow just hit me there. They're both still a bit confused, but seem well enough. Both are practising their anomalies powers, even though there's no real need to.

Sparrow's still mute. I've been trying to make him talk again, but he can't produce any sound yet.

We've all settled down in a modest house around Lansing, in Michigan. No particular reason why, the house was just available. I like the surroundings. It can be quiet, but Lansing has a European feel to it. It's busy, but not of the irritating kind.

Nothing bad has happened yet, but I feel like it's about to.

-Samuel

I've kinda moved out of the house.

I noticed that I was starting to get on the nerves of people there. My presence takes the mood down, I know. So I've found a small room in a building down the street. I spend almost every waking hour of the day at the house anyway, but it's nice to have a space I can call my own again.

Rosa's changing. Her 'Alice' is starting to fade, but her Rosa is starting to get more assertive. Perhaps it's the melding of two personalities, I don't know, but she's more plesant, and coherant, to hang around with. Sarah's taking the time off well. She's constantly smiling and being almost the perfect 'mother' to their little family.

Sparrow's situation isn't getting better. He can't make any sound yet. I can tell he's getting frustrated by this, but I won't get soft on him. He needs to push through this.

-Samuel

A thunderstorm is raging outside.

I thought of going to Lansing today, take my old bike out for a ride again, but this weather has refrained me from it. So I got to spend my birthday inside. Not that anyone knew it was my birthday, or cared for that matter. Still. Worth mentioning.

Sparrow managed to produce a sound today. It wasn't much more than a sigh, but he is estatic. A small dog has been running continuously around the house today. Sarah had to put him in a corner to keep him quiet.

Nothing really happened today apart from that.

-Samuel.

They remembered. Cake and gifts in a surprise-raid of my place. How to pick up girls in 3 steps from Sparrow. Hint?

Easter yesterday.

Sparrow's almost talking now. It's almost like a toddler, mostly gibberish. His voice sounds very damaged.

All of this, last few months, have been a bit unreal. I feel like we're in one of those feel-good commercials, and every moment I expect something to shake it up again. Nothing noteworthy has happened, yet.

Rosa's starting to get demanding though. Her 'dad' almost gives her anything she wishes.

-Samuel

I've returned to my old place. I traced one of the strings back to the Netherlands. Gave me one hell of a headache. I don't know why I did it. Haven't seen it since...well, almost sixty years ago. I appearantly have a nephew, who I didn't go and visit.

Sparrow's birthday was a few days ago. He threw a party for the entire neighbourhood, which consisted out of an odd twenty people. They were a bit stiff suits, but we're still pretty new to the neighbourhood. Sparrow can almost, almost speak properly again. He slurs quite a bit, but he's trying.

Sarah's still plesant. She has burned a few meals though. I suspect it's just a 'reflex' from that many months of combat.

Reese and Rosa are a typical brother and sister now. They both care for each other. They're adjusting well.

-Samuel

Went looking for a job today.

I thought doing that magician gig again would be fun, but then I remembered I have no charisma whatsoever to pull of that kind of shows. My money's running a bit low, so this reality warper is off looking for a job. They were seeking a librarian at a college, so I applied.

Sparrow's speaking normally again. All those 'lessons' he spent with his head on a desk worked. He's still careful with speaking though. Sarah's come up with the local sniffles, and is spening most of the time burning up (That was a pun...) with feverish symptoms in bed.

I hope she's going to be alright soon.

-Samuel.

Flag day, appearantly.

I got accepted for that job in college. It's been pretty boring stuff, but there are nice people working there, and they've got a great selection of books.

Sarah's up and running again. Took her a little while and medicinal help, but she's there. Sparrow took her and the others for a few days lake-side. I wasn't feeling that festive, so I remained here.

I'm raiding their fridge in a second.

-Samuel

People came looking for us today.

They claimed to be US government, and requested my immediate cooperation, 'or else' they said. I told them to bugger off. They searched around for a bit, but luckily didn't stop at the house. I haven't told the others yet, because Sparrow would evict us right away.

To be honest, I thought about killing the two MIB's, but I didn't. Almost reflexively I wanted to erase them.

Old ghosts.

-Samuel.

Sparrow's forced to work as well.

He's been doing some freelance writing for a local magazine. Mostly he's just being himself, but on a deadline.

I've been talking to Rosa a bit more. Her powers seem to have run unchecked and are almost a wasted potential. I don't know how she should use them, or on what, or a reason to, but it seems to be a shame to not do anything with it. She holds a lot of energy in her hands.

Reese is just the same. He's a walking thunderbolt. I bet he could give the power equal to what most powerplants give on a day.

I'm one to talk. I'm wasting myself on a library.

-Samuel

Autumn. I hate autumn.

Leaves are starting to change colour and trees are getting leafless. I hate this time of year. Depressing. Sarah thinks it's beatiful, appearantly. I don't see the appeal...

I've met someone who's quite intriguing. Her name's Yvonne, and she's a co-worker at that library. She's...plesant enough. I usually go with her to Starbucks whenever I'm on a break.

Who knows? :p
-Samuel

Damn, has it been this long?

I've been occupied as of late. The last four months have been busy. Chirstmas and New-Year were a joy, much of it lived in a haze of slight alcohol. The months before that were just routine. I've been appearantly promoted to 'Head-librarian' after the last one got killed by a tragic accident. Hooray for me?

I don't know how I'm feeling now. Everything's safe now, and no fear of death. But it's a kind of a stupor. I don't know if this is me talking, or my genetic programming, but I want to DO something.

I'll endure it for now. I can't do that to the others.

Oh yeah. Yvonne used to be Ivan. Yeah. Heck of a job on the operation though.
-Samuel

One year already.

There seems to be a kind of epedemic across the states. People are randomly collapsing on the streets and taken in for treatment. We're keeping indoors as much as possible. To be slain by a common bug would be the epitome of irony at the moment.

Those black suits returned. I didn't kill them, again. They just asked if I knew a random old man on a picture. I didn't, and they left.

Don't know what that was about.

Family's fine.

It was 7am but Sarah had already been up for two hours. She was preparing breakfast for the family, just like she did every morning. Pancakes, waffles, toast, eggs, and just about every other breakfast food one could think of. "I think I may have cooked too much..." She said to herself. "But Sparrow eats like a pig and so does Reese so it should be just fine."

It was strange, but Sarah actually liked being a homemaker. Even when she was 'normal' she never imagined herself cleaning and cooking. And yet here she was, cooking breakfast for her family.

"My family.." She grinned widely, enjoying the fact that she now had a small group of people who she could call family.

*Beep, Beep*

Sarah looked over her shoulder, taking note of the time. It's already 7:30? I suppose I should wake everyone up now.

She first stopped at hers and Sparrow's bedroom. She gently put her hand on his shoulder and gave him a little nudge.

"Sparrow, its time to get up."

Rosa rolled out of bed, completely oblivious to the drop. With a great thud, her body collide with the floor. Her eyes slowly opened. She dressed herself accordingly, then, still rubbing her eyes, followed the smell of food. Rosa looked at her hands. No burns. The nightmares were going. Good sign indeed. As Rosa walked into the kitchen, she began to sing to herself.

"Sarah, Mom, what do I call you? Do I like waffles? I've never had them before."

Sparrow turned over, the bedcovers getting caught up in his legs.

"Mrfgh.", he moaned, "Always so early."

He cocked his head to the side, and looked at Sarah giving him what he lovingly described as "the look".

"Alright, alright. I'm getting up."

He slowly sat up in the bed, ruffling his hair.

"What's breakfast?"

"It's not that early. And breakfast is the first meal of the day. Now get up, get dressed, and meet us all downstairs."

Sarah walked back downstairs and saw Rosa standing in front of the table. "Just call me Sarah. Mom makes me feel old... I'm not sure if you like waffles though. Why don't you try one and find out?"

"Breakfast. What an alien term.", Sparrow laughed, quickly getting dressed, "I remember the time when I could get up and everyone was about to have lunch. Ahh, simpler times."

The irony failed to hit Sparrow, who carried on getting dressed regardless.

"I mean, sure, a few hundrerd people died, I lost my voice and I was stabbed, but I could still get up at whatever time I wanted to."

He strolled down the stairs and kissed Sarah on the cheek as he passed, picking up one of the waffles in the process.

"Ah! Hot-- hot!", he shouted, flipping it from hand to hand, "Hot waffle! Hot waffle!"

"Sparrow...all the things we've been through and you still haven't learned to keep your mits of hot things, Sarah included."

Rosa gave a flirtacious wink, in jest of course.
