I heard some time ago that a man thinks about sex every 3 minutes or even sooner. I have my doubts, but at least half of a the men in the world would fit the description.

Prove me I'm wrong!

actually providing proof is pretty much impossible, but take my word for it: it's bullshit.

Yep, pretty sure it's wrong. Like when you're having an intense gaming session, or reading a very interesting book (both without sexual references, and preferably no attractive women). At those moments your mind is somewhere else.

I have always found those concepts amusing.

Humans are not robots (even though my screen name would argue otherwise, irony much?) the idea that every man suddenly gets a thought about sex within a continuous 3 minute interval is just plain stupid.

More likely the amount of time thought about sex in a day is equivalent to thinking about it once every 3 minutes.

the statistic is indeed bullcrap.

a simple google search for "myth men think about sex every" will give you the logical answer of we cannot read peoples minds therefore we dont know how often anyone thinks about sex.

How?

I'm male and don't think of sex every three seconds, but thats not really proof as I could only be saying that. Unless you can read minds you'll not see any form of "proof" per se.

Most of the time I don't have anything on my mind, which is why I hate being asked "what are you thinking about?"

Firstly this statement:

"Prove me I'm Wrong"

is driving me crazy. You can't say either a) Prove me wrong, or b) Prove I'm wrong. You have two self pronouns in one sentence, occupying the same subject space.

Sorry, I know it sounds like I'm being a douche....well I probably am.

Secondly, the statistic doesn't imply just sex, but sex related. Picturing girls naked is a big one. And this doesn't apply to every guy, just most of them. Besides, unless you actively keep a journal, all day, every day about every thought that passes through your head, you are in no position to disprove that assertion.

I dunno. I reckon men are capable of it. But I think the statement "men think about sex every five minutes" is supposed to mean that we think of it on more of a subconcious? level, if it was meant literally nothing would ever get done.

Fixed. Yeah how do you expect that to get proven? I'm gonna have to call bullshit on that one mate.

Maybe there's some randy sociologist who made up this statistic.
well golly gee? are you from the fifties too? that would be swell.
jks

OT:
There is a man (or child/teenager) here on the escapist who, though extremely popular, thinks of women for personality and not as items, he is the best candidate to prove you wrong. he also hates his mother and may or may not have the black lung (if his twitter posts are accurate)
I'm not that man, though I think I know of whom you speak. I'll say this though: I think the guys who objectify women has an easier time than me. It does NOT pay to try to understand, sympathize or relate to women in any way. And a lot of them have a horrible personality when you get deep enough. I'm about fed up with thinking about them for the sake of their personality.

And yes, I'm extremely misogynistic today. More than usual. Actually I think I could start a giant rant at this point on how fucking lame girls are. :) I'd better not.

As for the topic: I rather doubt that the statistic is in any way true. Though only speaking for myself I would claim that I don't think that much about sex at all. Though I might just be strange and uninterested in sex.

Hard to do, it was a rumor alright.
Well I can't prove you wrong anymore than you can prove yourself right. From personal experience, I don't think about sex every 3 minutes and I'm sure almost noone else does either.

You'll have to be content with that.

Nah, ur cool. No douche in sight.
And yes, using 2 pronouns is incorrectly said. Old habit, won't happen again :p
