I recently got myself a PS Vita and I have been enjoying the game I got for it, Dangan Ronpa. However, I would like to get more games for it, but I have no idea what games I should get.

Any suggestions?

Please note that I'm not much into RPGs, so please avoid suggesting those. Anything else is free game.

Thanks in advance!

WipEout 2048 is really good. I don't know good games besides RPG's, it's the genre I'm into mostly. I will not suggest fifa here because of the hatred EA gets. (I got it from a friend and it honestly was quite fun, easier to play on handheld than on console)(oops I mentioned it anyway). There is a page on wikipedia with a list of all playable titles on the Vita including the PsP titles.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PlayStation_Vita_games

The genres are also mentioned next to the titles which should be convenient.

No RPGs?

But Persona 4 Golden is basically the best thing ever...

Erm... well, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift EXTEND is a visual novel fighting game. Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward is a visual novel puzzle game. (Danganronpa is, from what I understand, a visual novel, which is why I bring those two up.) Gravity Rush is a fun action-adventure title, though it's got some gimmicky use of the Vita's gyroscope and touchscreens and stuff. Muramasa: Rebirth is a bit of a side-scrolling action-RPG, but it's pretty light on the RPG side of things depending on what it is exactly about them that puts you off. Then of course there's LittleBigPlanet Vita, which is a fun side-scrolling platformer, though again has gimmicky use of the touchscreens.

Honestly though, being a fan of at least JRPGs is for the best if you're going to get a handheld console, because the DS, 3DS, PSP, and PS Vita are just chock full of those and don't have a terribly high number of good games from many other genres.

If you're enjoying Danganronpa, you must enjoy visual novels. Good news for you, the sequel to Danganronpa is coming to English speaking lands relatively soon:

That said, the best VN for Vita is probably this:

Here are some PSP ones in English you can get off PSN store and play on Vita:

I can also get behind Sweet Fuse and Hakuoki - Played them both and enjoyed them a lot (specially Sweet Fuse).

It kinda borders the RPG line, but what about Soul Sacrifice? http://us.playstation.com/psvita/games-and-media/psv-soul-sacrifice.html

Fun (and weird) little game, not turn based and a kick ass soundtrack to boot.

Tearaway is worth trying, and Gravity Rush is also pretty good, very InFamous like. Oh, I'd also recommend Soul Sacrifice. It's definitely one of the best games on the Vita right now. Past that, I haven't much else to give you, as everything else I like would be RPGs. I've heard the Sly Cooper game on it is pretty good, and when they port it, be sure to pick up Frozen Synapse, which is a brilliant tactical game(no RPG elements, so no worries about that).

I can recommend the following:

Tearaway
Muramasa Rebirth
Dragon's Crown
Rayman Origins (looks so good on that screen!)
The Walking Dead Season 1
Killzone Mercenary
Persona 4
Soul Sacrifice

On a side note - a personally found Gravity Rush to be very disappointing. It lools beautiful, but the controls didn't seem to be up for the job and bosses have health bars so big it's just an exercise in frustration. Of course I could be pants at the game.

I've saved the best for last, DO NOT IGNORE THE ONLINE OFFERINGS!

Get a PS+ account
You will be able to download more than $50 worth of games off the bat, including Uncharted, Wipeout and Gravity Rush. Additional games will be added each month and you can use this same account for free titles on your PS3 and PS4 if you have one.

Here is a list of downloaded only titles I own and totally recommend:

Thomas Was Alone
Spelunky
Velocity Ultra
Olli Olli
Limbo
Retro City Rampage
TxK
Dustforce
Lone Survivor
Hotline Miami
Jet Set Radio
Proteus
Stealth Inc.
Sine Mora
Flower
Flow
Guacamelee
Stick it to the Man
Super Stardust Delta

Plus you can play PSP and PS1 downloads such as:

God of War: Chains of Olmpus and Ghost of Sparta
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3
Final Fantasy 7 and 9 (I hated 8, but it's there if you like it)
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Oddworld Abes Oddysee

Great handheld, the longer I own it the more I like it!

EDIT - sorry I got carried away and included some RPGs!

I second Soul Sacrifice. I got free on ps+ but I probably would have bough it if I'd know it was good. On the indi front, I've been enjoying Lone Survivor and Hotline Miami on vita. Lone Survivor is an interesting, mind fuck of a survival horror game. Hotline Miami is difficult, frustrating, and the intensity of the gameplay makes my hands hurt. But it's so fun I can't put it down. Even though Persona 4 is an rpg, it's basically a visual novel too. Just turn the difficulty down and you could ignore most of the combat. The Metal Gear collection was also released for the vita. And if you never owned a psp, most of titles are available for download

Woot. I'm surprised they've already started on it. I figured they'd wait until the sales of the first one came in. Must have been a good first week. Speaking of future releases, Minecraft should be coming out for the vita sometime so I'd keep an eye on that

Dammit!

Well, I have yet to play it, but I've heard good things about Muramasa: Rebirth.

I'm jumping on board with everyone else saying Persona 4 Golden.... However, I will also second Soul Sacrifice, and I can say that the Uncharted game was pretty fun as well.

If you like platformers, Tearaway is great, as are both Rayman games, which are practically the same as the console releases so if you didn't get them yet then I strongly recommend you do.

Terraria, whilst available on loads of platforms, is particularly fun on the Vita, and a great way to kill time on long journeys.

I've heard great things about Persona 4 (highest rated Vita game on Metacritic) and Virtue's Last Reward, both of which I just purchased but I'm holding off on playing until I finish Fire Emblem Awakening (got into JRPGs recently in case that wasn't apparent).
