I appreciate some of you may be sick of seeing these, and think I am a lazy dick who cant be bothered to look for games himself. It's just that I have this new vita but no time to look for games for it, because of the uni work that I am currently swamped in.

I'm a big fan of any and all RPGs, and am more than happy to play Japanese/anime style games.
Action games are also a favourite of mine.

So if someone could just suggest some stuff. Doesn't have to be action or Rpg just anything you have really enjoyed that would be great. Thanks!

Well, firstly since everyone is going to recommend Persona 4: Golden, I'll recommend Persona 4: Golden.
There, I did it. Can we all agree it's good and spare us 80 replies of the same game?

Besides that: Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc just released. It's a kind of Visual Novel/Phoenix Wrightish game in a sense. It's pretty fun IMO. Unfortunately, the English voice acting leaves a lot to be desired (it's total shit).

If you like Media Molecule style crazy games, Teraway is fun (though it runs really poorly). The Little Big Planet on the Vita is quite pretty looking and very much an LBP game if you like those.

If you like grindy as hell JRPGs, Disgaea 3 is on the Vita and actually works really well as a mobile game.

Finally, Gravity Rush was a great original title. The combat was maybe a bit shallow, but I really had fun with the game. Absolutely recommend it.

I'd suggest looking at the many other Vita game suggestion threads, since they all get the same recommendations.

That being said, Terraria works very well as a portable game, and Tearaway is a fun little romp that isn't at all challenging but a fun adventure nonetheless.

I have Persona 4 sat on my shelf, which I intend to get to once I've finished Fire Emblem Awakening (also a good game, not for Vita though) since it's the highest rated Vita game and everyone seems to give it super high praise.

If you like Uncharted, Assassin's Creed and LittleBigPlanet on the consoles, the Vita games from those franchises are practically the same as the console games so you'd like them.

Other than that, the two new Rayman games are the same as they are on consoles, and they're both amazing.

I have traversed the highschool depths of Persona 4 once and I dont think, that I escaped with enough of my soul for another trip. I haven't got enough time in the day for something as long as Persona, or the patience for grinding through a Disgea title right now. Maybe I will over summer.

But thanks I may well try Gravity rush.

Besides that, I heard Gravity Rush and Muramasa Rebirth were pretty good.

OK, so, the PS Vita does have a lot of fantastic games, however I have found there are three kinds of PS Vita users, those willing to import, those who use it as a home console, and those who want games on the go.

So for imports:
1) Hatsune Miku Project Diva f2 (and f is coming soon in NA)
2) Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus (reminicent of Dissidia, if you can stand the over sexulisation)

For home users:
1) Persona 4 Golden
2) Killzone Mercenary
3) Muramasa Rebirth

For portable users:
1) Ys Memories of Celceta
2) Soul Sacrifice
3) Danganronpa
4) Gravity Rush

These are literally off the top of my head. There are a few more, but I would have to look through my collection for the rest of my recommendations.

Oh, boy! Finally, to share my wisdom...!

1) Tearaway
2) Gravity Rush
3) Danganronpa
4) Toukiden
5) Rainbow Moon
6) Soul Sacrifice
7) Ys
8) Uncharted: Golden Abyss

I have more, but I need my sleep right now... Among the list, the best ones are Danganronpa and Gravity Rush. And Golden Abyss has the best female character in the whole Uncharted series.

You like RPGs, you like Japanese anime, you like action. This is your Vita game:

Well, everyone's already said my other recommendations, so allow me to shout the name of one of my most beloved games as loudly as possible.

VIRTUE'S LAST REWARD
VIRTUE'S LAST REWARD
SO MUCH VIRTUE'S LAST REWARD

Seriously, everyone owes it to themselves to play that game. It's just fuckin' amazing.

Checked your profile, since you're from the UK too, make sure to get the American version. The Vita isn't region locked. For some reason they decided to remove the English voices for the European version. Ech.

If you have a DS I'd strongly recommend playing 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors first, but it's not vital. It's a self-contained story for the most part but it does spoil 999 quite a bit. If you don't mind that, go for VLR. I played VLR first but I really wish I hadn't. 999 is awesome too.

Besides that, I'll throw in more recommendations for Persona 4 Golden, Danganronpa and Gravity Rush. I don't have that many Vita games yet either but those are definitely worth getting.

There are some good high profile indie games on the Vita. Most of them aren't exclusive though (if that matters).

My recommendations:
Spelunky - A very challenging 2D platformer with randomly generated content.
Guacamelee! - A Mexican themed Metroidvania with an awesome aesthetic, great music and some cool combat (the combat's not ground breaking or anything, but it is fun).
Hotline Miami - Not really sure how to classify it. A top down action game where you kill guys with an array of guns and melee weapons. Every attack on you is an insta kill which makes things pretty hectic at times. Checkpoints are frequent though.
