There's an obscure Japanese-exclusive action-adventure called Chain Dive. Yeah, Sony, if you're reading this, I want that to show up in the import section of the store.

Well, as I left the PS2 bandwagon too damn early and pretty much every game I wanted has already been released in an HD Collection, or at least it's planned to be released soon, the only ones left are very few, like the Onimusha series, mainly Onimusha 2, also I'd like to see Okami get an HD treatment, even if I have to sacrifice the superb Wii controls (yes, I said that and I defend that statement), also Viewtiful Joe deserves a second chance, I don't care if it gets a direct port or a proper HD treatment, I want to play that game in HD resolutions (It's a real shame Clover Studios had to be closed), also the criminally underrated Killer 7 deserves a second chance too.

I know we're going to get Final Fantasy X, and I'm glad that we're getting Final Fantasy X in 1080p. As someone who has played it that was thanks to PCSX2, there's no going back. If you force 1080p on the original PlayStation 2 copy, in game sprites do age a bit, also, actual videos do look a bit pixelated. But the non-video cutscenes aged superbly. And just as graphically relevant as ever. Auron, for instance, looks just as detailed as most PlayStation 3 characters or modern games in general. I hope that the plan for the 1080p version is to use the CG cutscene sprites for the in game sprites. That would look really gorgeous.

And you can yell at me all you like, I'd also like to see X-2.

Mushihimesama is also an absolutely excellent recommendation. Especially since it never really made it to the states aside from very technically with the XBOX 360 version. I love the heck out of that game.

Also, Tales of the Abyss, certainly. I'm a huge Tales of fangirl. Heck, I'll buy it again if they put it on the network. Heck, Symphonia was technically released for the PlayStation 2, just not in the West. But sigh, Namco would never do something like that.

Also, the Fatal Frame works. At least the first three that are for the PlayStation 2.

Klonoa 2 is also a must. Gorgeous, wonderful game that the gaming industry needs more of.

More seriously, though: You forgot Shadow of Rome. God, was that fun.

Well, most of the stuff I'd like to see in HD already got the treatment or are slated for release in the near future:

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time trilogy
ICO & Shadow of the Colossus
Silent Hill 2
Devil May Cry 3
Zone of the Enders 1 & 2

Now all that's missing (in my book) are HD re-releases for Okami and the Legacy of Kain games.

Howzabout all the JRPGs that were released in the USA, but never in Europe?

Grandia III
Tales of Legendia
Tales of the Abyss
Arc The Lad: End of Darkness
.Hack//G.U. Rebirth
.Hack//G.U. Reminisce
.Hack//G.U. Redemption
Growlanser Generations
Monster Rancher 3
Monster Rancher 4
Montser Rancher Evo
Romancing Saga
Suikoden III
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon
Xenosaga Episode I
Xenosaga Episode III

Oddly enough, we did get Xenosaga Episode II... What's the freakin' point giving us a story if you're not even going to bother telling us the beginning or the end?!

(To be honest, I actually don't care about the .Hack titles... But it's a matter of principle, dammit!)

Normally, I'd also list Baroque, Growlanser: Heritage of War and Persona 3: FES here as well, but I've recently discovered that they ARE, in fact, available in Europe. They're just very scarce. Tp be honest, the only places I know that have the games, are online shops from the UK.

Remember that game? It was great.
I still have that game on my PS3, it's pretty awesome. Too bad more people weren't willing to pay for it, maybe then they would have kept releasing it.

I think that is one thing people were willing to pay for. I don't think they were willing to pay $600 for a machine that would just play bad ports that could be finished in a weekend over the next few years.
They didn't start selling more PS3s after the price drop they enacted after taking out BC and card readers. They started selling more ps3s when better (hyped) games started getting released.

Honestly? The only PS2 game I hadn't played to complete death was Odin Sphere. And, they put that on there. Getting some of the more off-the-wall games you don't find at your local Game Stop or Walmart would be nice instead of the "CLASSIC HITS!" but that is probably not their goal. But, when they brought the PS2 Classics I bought Odin Sphere since I hadn't played that all the way through.

I would think since I do not consider myself "teh hardcorz" I'm the right kind of sucker that digs things like PS2 games on my PS3. I just don't have the space or the abundance of attachments to have four generations of consoles in my house. This is why I like the virtual console and bringing back catalouges to the newer consoles, so I can have a PS3, Wii and Computer and have generations of games at my disposal.

To answer OP's question though, fill it up with games with high replayability and low in-store availability at the time of release and I'll dig it.

Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven

While they are at it, they can make a new current generation version as well.

Actual Ps2 games on our Playstation network, instead of rubbish obscure Japanese crap, no one gives a damn about.
Well there goes my vote for Shadow Tower and Shadow Tower Abyss.

On the upside, I have a first gen PS3 and thus don't need to rely on the PSN store.

I'd be pretty happy to see the Suffering games show up. Other than that, the only PS2 games that I played enough to want on PS3 were the God of War games, and that's already been taken care of.
