It does this yes, but you can download tv shows and such on Xbox Live if you want. Its not all crap either they actually have a decent selection of Anime on there. Not to mention that typically the 360 recieves demos for cross platform stuff first if it ever comes at all. The PSN is still sorely lacking in this respect, but I personally don't care as much since I am more concerned about the quality of the online gaming itself, and this is where XBL fails and fails hard.

... And if you really, really, really want to, you could install Linux (or Windows?) on your PS3, and then install games like "BioShock" and "Gears of War" on it.

Or use BitTorrents.

I am pretty sure being able to play PC / 360 only titles is better than downloading a TV show that anything with a net connection can do anyways.

I love my Wii for gaming. I'm more than content playing my steady stream of first party Nintendo games along with playing Virtual Console games from various systems that I can't play anymore (of course, if I could get a new controller for my TG-16...).

I am also partial to the XBox 360. It tends to have some great games on it and some neat features like music integration and XBox Live. Can't go wrong with it.

I've played the PS3. I am far from impressed. It's like they took everything that worked on the PS2, threw it out the window, and decided that it makes the rules when it clearly has no authority to do so. It's really nothing special at all.

I'd buy the Wii since it's cheap and I truly unique gaming experience. However, if you have the money and a desire to play games online, then the XBox 360 isn't a bad choice. I just wish everything on it was so damn expensive to get new things of.
