And just when Sony started to get its grip on the hacking issue...

Exactly what grip did they took on the hacking issue? Seems like Sony won't be in the next console generation considering how things have gone for them thus far.

Wait so what's happening? PS3's are being pulled off the shelves in Europe? That's a little dramatic.

And there was a yell from the Heaven's as Mr. Gates descended forth from the Windowy gates, and thus he said Lulz.

Sony, Sony, Sony, you started so far ahead, the PS1 and 2 were great, why did you have to do so much bad?

Hahaha, that's hilarious. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving company. Well, ok, it could, there are some real scumbag companies out there, but Sony's been bad enough to their customers.

Yeah, seriously. Microsoft is more deserving, considering that they bailed on thousands to millions of customers who bought their technologically insufficient heaps of scrap.

It's sad really. The PS3 destroys the 360 and Wii with it's capabilities, yet there are all these other factors that contribute to the PS3 selling terribly.

You linked IGN?! o_O

Seriously though, this seems a little extreme. I can see LG being pissed with Sony, but impounding all PS3s in an entire continent? Really?

I don't know if I'm looking at the wrong article or something, but I don't think there's anything mentioned in there about the ongoing problem with hackers and the PS3 or PlayStation Network.

From what I understood after reading the article, Sony's being embargoed in Europe because... they have Blu-Ray technology in their console? Seriously, where the hell has LG been all this time if they're suing Sony now for technology they've had in the system since the first generation of the console was released? The PS3 was first released in the U.S. over four years ago, and LG waits until now to bring this up? *facepalm*

Uhm, what did Sony do to LG in the frist place.

To the OP: There is no way the PS3 will be banned in all of Europe, does anyone here actually believe otherwise?

Not to mention that it would be extremely bad for LG's image if it were to take away what I assume is the reason a considerable number of people bought a LG TV in the first place.
-Electronics giant LG won its preliminary injunction against Sony in a patent battle over Blu-ray playback technology, a civil court in The Hague, Netherlands ruled.

That's from the article. I guess you could look around further if you wanted more detail, but it's pretty much the tech that the PS3 uses to read the Blu-Ray discs.

Sony sued LG last year for using some patent that LG had paid Sony for the right to use, LG got mad and had some right to the bluray so they made a counter and sued Sony.

Didn't feel the need to find a better link but google if you need to know more.

Sony have been screwing over their customers for years. The most memorable times being the rootkit they deliberately infected customer's PCs with, then lied about until they were presented with incontrovertible evidence, also removing OtherOS from the PS3 and telling their customers, basically, "Tough." Then of course getting all sue-happy over Geohot and stuff. I think Sony are scum, they're right up there with Microsoft. Apple and Ubisoft are also not far behind.
