PC will vary wildly. I thought that a barebones 360 copy would be the bugfest if it was going to happen. Not trying to downplay anyone else's' problems.
I can understand that. But I just hate the "Well I'm not having any problems" comment. It helps nobody who has the problem, adds nothing to the conversation, and just makes the people afflicted with bugs feel worse because they know other people are having fun while they're stuck trying to figure they're stuff out.

Not trying to be mean or anything, but I just really hate that response.
Looking back at it, I really sound like an arrogant douchebag.
Sorry to anyone I may have offended.

Game released full of bugs with a vague promise of fixing it later. Who would have thunk it.

EDIT:

My sympathies.
Still if all my credit card details are ripped off it will prevent me from buying any more buggy half finished games ;)

Dude I got the 360 version at launch and it was glitched like crazy. They patched it and it still is.

Bethesda/Obsidion just screwed the game up on all platforms to start. Not the PSNs fault.

I'd strongly recommend to get the PC Version of Games from Bethesda. They are very modder friendly and so the community will create workarounds.

For most other games i still recommend the PC Version.
Not going to lie here, you'll get bend over on all the Platforms, including the PC. The Reason why i recommend the PC versions isn't that they are any better; they aren't.
But on the PC there's at least some Hope that you'll find some tool which fixes what annoys you most about this and that game.
Remember the Mining in Mass Effect 2? Well, there's a tool which modifies save files so you'll never have to mine again.

So, the problem only became apparent because someone experienced it and then posted said information on the wiki, meaning the patch had already been released before anybody knew about it. AND, it's essentially a one-time glitch where a pre-existing save gets corrupted by the addition of the patch.

Can't blame that one on Bethesda/Obsidian. This was way too easy to miss.

I just hope people experiencing this problem use "subversion" saves like I do. Lesson learned kiddies: don't constantly overwrite the same save data.

So how was the PS3 version much worse? Al the various incarnations were more bug infested than a cockroach sandwich.
There's no doubt that they all started off completely broken but the pc version has mods & user made patches so it doesn't really need support; the users give it better support than Bethesda can.
I heard the 360 version was better after the first dlc patch. Was that not the case?

I learned my lesson to not buy PS3 versions of multi-platform titles (especially Bethesda titles) a long time ago.

I can now laugh at the people who didn't. :D
Lesson definitely learned. My ps3 usage was already puttering out before the whole psn fiasco and new vegas is definitely my last ps3 title from Bethesda. Skyrim looks cool but I'll be waiting for goty on the pc.

However, I'm starting to hear about 360 owners having this same problem. I guess this bug isn't exclusive to the ps3.

Then don't install the patch while in Dead Money, its may suck, but don't willingly wreck your game because of some vague sense of martyrdom, use some problem solving skills.

There's an update on The Vault that says that the glitch is occuring on the 360 version as well. Whether this is true or not I don't know.

Another fail on the list of giant fails from New Vegas.

It's one of my favourite games, but Jesus... thank fuck Obsidian don't build cars.
