Demon's Souls, hard to believe no one has mentioned it yet. I honestly bought mine almost entirely for this game alone, and in part MAG.

I also prefer the playstation controller, but thats more of a personal thing. I also like having access to PSN, as I did not own a PSONE and now have access to a plethora of 'new' old school titles. Anyways, my PS3 definitely sees the most use between my consoles. (I own all three, and have a gaming PC) My PC kinda cheats in that I'm a pretty big league of legends player, but this is getting pretty tangential so I'll stop.

I own a 360 and a PS3 and tend to do the majority of my gaming on the PS3 these days. This is mostly down to me being underwhelmed by Microsoft's exclusives over the last few years, Alan Wake being the only one that actually interested me. In contrast, Demon's Souls, InFamous 1 and 2, MGS4, Heavy Rain, God of War III and many more have really floated my boat.

Funnily enough when the PS3 first launched, it was the other way around. It probably has something to do with MS focusing too much on Kinect and not enough on great exclusives like when the 360 first launched. Still, the Playstation Store doesn't have anywhere near the level of choice of XBLM at the moment. However, it does seem like Sony are actually trying to rectify this by funding independent game development and adding features such as Steamworks. On the whole though, it really is all about if you fancy enough of the exclusives on PS3.

I like the PS3 for the fact it can double as a decent internet tool. When my laptop got stolen a summer ago, the only way I could check my college stuff was through my friend's PS3. While the games are good, they seemed to be overshadowed by the 360's possible "Senority" of this generation. Personally plan on picking one up myself before too long. Free online play doesn't hurt the case for me either.

It is worth it if you're going to play the PSN exclusives. Personal favourites of mine are Demons Souls, inFamous, Little Big Planet, and the Silent Hill series. I also enjoy that I can download PS1 titles that I no longer have for various reasons. And as a personal note I also enjoy the controller more.

Unless you are a fan of Gran Turismo, no. The 360 has all the good exclusives. I ended up picking a 360 up a few months ago because of this.
What about Demon Souls? Noby Noby Boy? inFamous? LittleBigPlanet? You're either a total racing fan or you didn't even bother trying those games. I'm not saying the Xbox 360 doesn't have good exclusives in it's own right; it does.

OT: Personally, I'd go with it if you have enough time on your hands. Personally, I only own a PS3 and PC and don't play my PS3 much now as it is. If you can justify the purchase yourself (A Blu-Ray player, some awesome exclusives, free [albeit quieter/emptier] online]), then you'll find the PS3 to be quite good at what it does.

It does have some really good exclusives like Demon's Souls, Uncharted, Uncharted 2, inFamous etc etc and then of course there's Blu-Ray. But that's really all I use it for.

My only concern is that there wouldn't be any games that I would be interested in, or anything I couldn't already get for my 360. So I guess I'm asking anyone who has a PS3, are there any decent PS3 exclusives that would warrant me buying the console? I'm into all types of games, in particular shooters and racing games, so any suggestions are welcome.
Shooter: Uncharted, inFAMOUS, Killzone 2 and 3, M.A.G., Resistance, SOCOM, HAZE
Racing: Mod Nation Racers, Gran Turismo, Wipeout HD
Platforming: Little Big Planet
RPG: Valkyria Chronicles, Demon's Souls, White Knight Chronicles
Action/Adventure: Ratchet and Clank, Fat Princess, 3D .Dot Game Heroes, God Of War, Heavy Rain
Stealth: Sly Cooper, Metal Gear
Upcoming: PAYDAY: The Heist, Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection, Splinter Cell Collection, Metal Gear Collection

Here are some of the great PS3 exclusives.

My opinion? Better than Xbox. The online can be tricky at time but it's a good system, none-the-less. Blu-Ray is nice and there is always a built-in harddrive. A good system for RPGs. The PSStore is nice, too.

I love how the thread is titled. It puts me in mind of a family guy "what if" question.

Its almost as if to say "Ok, you could have sex with Scarlett Johanssen, but its a guarantee youll get herpes from it, would you do it?

Anyway, the PS3 is fine. Both consoles are evenly matched with their respective strengths and weaknesses. Honestly as far as consoles go, I find it has better exclusives than the 360 does.
