It was only a matter of time... Viva la revolution!
I lol'd at the fact that you have a Fallout avatar considering how bad the PS3 is as a platform in relation to multi-platform games. Fallout especially.
I lol'd at the fact that I didn't care ;D

well MS said that it sold 50 million 360, but how many of them got the rrod?
How many of them got a free replacement? All who actually sent them back. If they own up and fix a mistake, they should not be bashed for it. I may not be playing on the first 360 I owned, but I only had to pay for it the first time. After it RROD, I sent it back, got a new one free of charge (cept maybe shipping or whatever) and am still going strong.

This both confuses and excited me. But I like the way the statistics work out. I like it a lot. But then again I'm sure there will be people who don't like these figures. Either way sales and user base don't make a lick of difference to how good your console is...

Sooo... PS3 wins in both categories!

I said it!

LET THE FLAME WAR BEGIN!
No,no, no , GO make yourself a F*CKING WAFFLE! ALL GAMERS DO not start a flame war, please for all of us dont, stay calm and say you like them both.....do you feel calm....if not....make yourself a waffle...

Well, it's nice to see PS3s are more popular in Europe.
I like the PS3 a lot more, it's vastly superior in software and the hardware is pretty equal, though 360 has better online. If you're not in the US the 360 is pretty worthless. I'm glad PS3's getting the recognition it deserves.
I'm also not surprised the PS3 has more active users, given the Blu-ray player.

This is also the same reason why the PS2 became the highest selling console ever. I've never known anyone who hadn't needed to replace theirs at least once.
My PS2 works just fine. It wasn't the slime version, it was the old one, and it was bought used. I still play SW:Battlefront 2 with my friends.

The console must be like 8 years old now...
Best game evar!!
I know right

Had my PS2 for 8 or so years now. Never had to replace it. At least yet....

I'm on my second Xbox 360, but that's by choice, not by RROD (I "upgraded" to the slim, took the harddrive with me and never looked back).

I haven't suffered the RROD and I pray to the almighty console gods that I never shall.

Never needed to replace mine. Not once.

As for PS3 - I lol'd. The Xbox is finally nearing the end of its life and only just now the PS3 takes over?
Neither can exactly be proud of their hardware quality either.
You do realise that Microsoft wants the 360 to keep going for another 5 years, that was supposedly one of the ideas behind Kinect :/

It's all right here: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/101511-Microsoft-Looks-to-Kinect-to-Extend-360-Lifespan
Ideals and executions are two very different things.

For example, you could try and kick a ball into a bucket, but then miss and smash a priceless ming vase that someone left there.

Microsoft might intend to extend the 360's life with Kinect, but thats not a guarantee that a Kinect is going to make it to every active 360 console.
Kinect sold millions....
