I'm really curious to know how the PS3 guys are getting on with ME2.

It was my favorite game of last year and my current pick for best game of the current gen, even though I am aware it is very divisive amongst the XBOX community due to stripping back some of the RPG elements from ME1.

Having not had ME1 to compare it to, arriving with fresh and open minds, how are you finding it? Is it as good as we 360 owners hyped it up to be?

Is learning the vast amount of politics and culture in the ME universe daunting, fascinating or both?

And do you guys find Jack as annoying as I do?

Played it on the PC when it came out, but:

People find Jack annoying? YOU'RE ALL WANKING OVER BLOODY TALI AND YOU FIND JACK ANNOYING?!

This is madness!

You seem to be talking a bit too much for others. I've heard of plenty of people who liked Jack who are not Ps3 owners.

OT: I have yet to buy the game, but I will most likely get it in April on my birthday.

I'm really enjoying it. I'm on my second playthrough now. Amazingly detailed universe, excellent story and gameplay. Was a bit difficult to get into to it without knowing ME1. The Interactive Backstory helps, but it's all very global and fast, so it's only when actually playing the game that you really get into it.

What else? It looks great, sounds great (the music is a bit lackluster, but the voice acting more than makes up for it), feels great, epic characters (except you, Jack, I hate you). For me, the only reason to ever get an Xbox has all but ceased to exist (if only I could get ME1...), and I love it.

Played the demo. It was kind of fun I guess.
...

I supposed its cheating if I answer, isn't it?

Not buying it until I've played Mass Effect 1 somehow.
I picked it up for the computer for about $10. It is easy to find, just hit EA's online store or Steam.

You know, I had this pegged to buy for the ps3 until I saw it on the Steam sale for $10. Having recently upgraded my computer to capably run things past 2007, I figured I'd pick it up.

Haven't played it yet since I still need to finish 1, nor have taken the 3+ days to download it. It is fun, but suffers largely from the usual Bioware symptoms.

I prefer Miranda myself. Tali is cool but her weird bendy claw legs don't do it for me.

And yeah, I found jack as irritating as shit... especially when she said stuff like 'I'm a cold, hard *****' while listening to Dashboard Confessional.

Your avatar answers the question :D.
Oh, and are the graphics up to scratch on the game?

Graphics are fine. Didn't notice any difference. Then again I never cared for graphics, so I'm not the best person to ask about that...

Yeah I never got all the fuss over Tali either. I did find Jack to be a huge ***** though.
I also didn't really feel bad when she died on me during the final mission

Gears of War is great too, as is Halo. But you guys have God Of War, which I am insanely jealous of as GOW 1 and 2 were my favorite games of the PS2 gen.

Someday I will finish Kratos's story.... some day...

Oh and Last Guardian. That's going to be beautiful.

i picked up the demo, but i gotta say i didn't find anything special about it. gameplay was ok, but didn't see anything that great or new in it, the graphics seemed fine, and the story seemed pointless because i haven't played the first which sets up the second.

i would give it a proper go, if i could play the first

Miranda was my favourite too - plus, she wins points for being in Chuck.

I'm currently playing ME1 on PC. I started playing it long before I heard of the ME2 port. After playing the demo on PS3 I still rather play it on PC since it will be cheaper. But it plays great from what I saw. I'm really digging the storyline.

Yeah Miranda all the way. Although her pro-Cerberus attitude kind of conflicts with my choice of lifestyle.
