This is madness!
I prefer Miranda myself. Tali is cool but her weird bendy claw legs don't do it for me.
Miranda was my favourite too - plus, she wins points for being in Chuck.
Yeah Miranda all the way. Although her pro-Cerberus attitude kind of conflicts with my choice of lifestyle.
Bah, I swayed her in the end to side with me.

Gears of War is great too, as is Halo. But you guys have God Of War, which I am insanely jealous of as GOW 1 and 2 were my favorite games of the PS2 gen.

Someday I will finish Kratos's story.... some day...

Oh and Last Guardian. That's going to be beautiful.
You ain't missing much, storywise, GoW3 was shit. The gameplay is fucking perfected, though.

Then again, I believe you were the person who found the ending to the stupid Christina missions in Brotherhood "one of the most emotional scenes of 2010".

Which it wasn't...at all. You had me all hyped for it, too.

Too bad! I thought it was intense. And sad.

Scions suck no matter what platform they are on!!
Have you tried Insanity difficulty?

You'll want to punch the guy who came up with them.
That is the main reason I'm still stuck in the collector ship because they keep killing me and my crew off and I haven't gone back since.

Don't use the cover mechanic against them, it's better to just run around behind cover. Staying mobile helps a ton. Incinerate, Warp, and Reave are your best friends. And keep your distance.

Almost beaten my third playthrough.

First time round I was not taking things seriously, screwed up a fair bit.

ManShep.
Council and Wrex saved.
No ME1 romance.
Romanced Kelly, saved the whole crew.
Jack, Miranda, Jacob, Tali and Legion died on the mission.
Rewrote the Geth.
I declared genophage to be right.
Failed to do the P/R Check on Samara's mission. Morinth died.
Showed the trial the evidence against Tali's father.
Saved the Collector Base.
Was about 60/40 Paragon/Renegade.

Second time around, I knew what I was doing, and I did them properly.
FemShep.
Council burned, Wrex lived.
Romanced Kaidan.
Romanced Garrus, saved the whole crew.
Everyone survived the suicide mission.
Rewrote the Geth.
Said Genophage was wrong.
Paragon'd Tali free-of-exile.
Killed Samara. Morinth, woohoo!
Saved the Collector Base.
Was 100% Paragon except for the Collector Base and Morinth.

Third time around, not quite finished yet.
ManShep.
Council and Wrex saved.
Romanced Ashley.
Romanced Jack, planning on saving whole crew.
Got everyone loyal and all upgrades, so nobody should die in the suicide mission.
Rewrote the Geth.
Genophage was wrong!
Renegade'd Tali free-of-exile. Said to Quarians to not go to war.
Saved Morinth again.
Planning on destroying Collector Base.

Loving it, basically. Oh, and beaten Insanity on the second playthrough.

Well, I haven't played Mass Effect 1, but I have played Mass Effect 2 on my Xbox. I love it. Great story, lots of quests, excellent characters, etc. The one character I didn't like was Jacob to be honest, way too bland.
Thane, on the other hand, is a total badass. As is Joker, but you don't see much of him unless you go out of your way to talk to him.

Love ME2 with a passion. On my 5th play-through.

You find Jack annoying?? She is my favorite character and first pick love interest. Now MIRANDA, on the other hand... ick. If I had to pick I think I'd rather sleep with Morinth than Miranda.

I played both on the 360, and I'm going back and forth on whether I'm going to get it on the PS3. I think I will if they make ME3 for the PS3. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if they made ME 1 for it either. It's a dumb move to make the sequel but not the first one on another system, especially if both the first and second were for the same system to begin with.

Overrated. While it's certainly a good game there are just a few things that really bug me.

1. Plot holes
Why am I working with people Shepard exposed as terrorists in the first game? Furthermore, after no less than three betrayals, why the hell would Shepard still work for the Illusive Man?
Why is the council suddenly forgetting about the Reaper that attacked at the climax of ME1?
Why does Shepard just go into a derelict Reaper? Wouldn't reporting it the the council as non-blown up proof of the Reaper's existence be a bit better than blowing this one up too?
Why are the Geth suddenly a neutral faction? It just makes the Quarians look like complete morons.

2. A completely underwhelming climax
Hooray, epic battle through the Collectors home. There must be a mind-blowing, horrifying secret at the end of all this. Here it is! Its a... Its a... Its... a Reaper baby? WHAT THE ****!!!

3. A few annoying and/or unlikable characters
Jack
Miranda
Tali
Jacob
Zaeed

Other than these, I have no complaints.

Your entire "plot-hole" section is all covered in-game with explanations.

MS own exclusivity to the first, it's never going to appear on the PS3.

Love Mass Effect in many many ways, although I play the PC versions. RPGs are hard to pull off as well on consoles in my opinion. Bioware's worth it if it's your only option though. Their characterization and intricacy of plot and storytelling give me hope for the video game industry as a whol. I'm still disappointed Joker isn't romanceable yet though. My Femshep wants her geekboy.

I all ready had it on my 360, but couldn't resist getting it again.

I like it, but miss the all the little things that carry over from ME1. The comic at the beginning just doesn't serve that game justice :(
Other than that, I think it looks a lot better on the PS3 (though the loading times do take a lot longer).

I downloaded the Free Game Trial and didn't get access to the digital comic that summed up the first game. As a result, having been an hour into the game I continued on after purchasing. I was completely in the dark and disengaged from the story and characters. I wasn't interested at all.

I have since downloaded the content and even watched it. I still feel disengaged. I mean to restart the game fresh so I get the full experience, but thus far haven't felt the least bit compelled to do so.

So far, I give it a thorough meh.

But I concede that this is not BioWare's fault. It is primarily Sony's fault as well as EA's for miscommunicating how the content would be handled.

Jack was my second choice, actually. See: actual character development.

I bought it as soon as it came out for PS3, and I have to say it's absolutely amazing. After the disappointment that was Dragon Age, I was hesitant to put my faith in Bioware again, but it really is as good as everyone said it was. I'm a convert.

As far as I know, Mass Effect 3 is being released on all 3 platforms simultaneously.
