Sorry i didn't include Wii in this discussion, but as stated already, there aren't many fanboys for it, and i've never personally had a problem with any
I've had fanboys literally attempt to smash a PSP I was playing, and later when I pointed out to them that not everything Nintendo makes is actually good and maybe they should try branching away from tired series, I was met with both pretentious dismissal and outrage.
Also, one member of this group can often be seen wearing an actual Wii-mote around his neck. In public places.
These are real people? Sounds like cartoon characters.
I'm not into the flamewars and things like that but it does piss me off when a certain company (like Bethesda) decide to release a game on all the consoles but only support (and I mean fixing game freezing glitches not DLC or any other crap they try to sell superfluously) one or two versions.
I too spent a couple of months trying to decide between 360 and ps3 as most the games I was interested in were on both systems. However, the downloadable PSN games seemed more my style than those I had already played to death years ago for sale on XBLA and the VC. What did it was the death of HDVD (as I had just got an HDTV), free PSN service (I love totally free demos), and honestly the RROD: getting that after spending hundreds of dollars would've pissed me off not to mention the fact that people were (at the time) coming forward and saying MS pushed out the 360 with the RROD problem intentionally to get a years jump on the other companies.
However that doesn't mean I'm not envious of 360 owners too. The consumer development kit (I forget what they call it) is a great idea that I wish sony & nintendo would implement. I also dig the fact that you can customize the soundtrack to any game; sony tried that and completely screwed it up. But when I added & negated all the pros and cons, I had to go with the ps3.
Hopefully one day all the systems will have a standard programming system so we can try whatever software we want regardless of what machine we own. I guess that's too much to ask for.
