Honestly, I'm a bit amazed by the blah reception to this revelation.

Is it just because I'm part of that old Gameboy Generation that struggled to get the visuals right in the sun, thinking about how cool it would be to play something like DK64 on something that size?
Nah, I had a gameboy. The OG one, with the green dot matrix screen, needing four AA batteries, and so on. That was more amazing than this, for me. But I'm glad you're having fun with it. Thing is, I have a 3DS, handhelds are still preferable to me. I like dedicated hardware for playing games, even if it's not as easy to lug around like my phone. And my phone is just a phone.

Also, I don't really get any downtime at work, or when I'm out and about.

Honestly? It's because(and I mean this kindly!) you're a bit late to the party. This has been doable already with other applications, the PS Vita and to an extent the PSP, Nvidia Shield Portable and even Linus' Ghetto Shield. Anyone that has wanted to do it has been already doing it for a very long time and most portable gaming fixes are local.

But I do indeed remember the GB generation and how playing games on a bus was a goddamn ***** along with wanting 3D titles.

I don't see people storming out to play PC games in squint-o-vision honestly.

Ideas like these aren't bad, but personally I cant see practical use in them.

In this case it's the benefit of having your library with you wherever you go. Major issue with that is that you need a very specific set of circumstances to play a lot of games, particularly those that need very precise and fast responses.

But something like XCOM 2 would work fabulously.

I can play Overwatch on my phone, with very little lag. I mean enough that I'd be a competent player. That alone is just...

I feel this way reading this thread:

Sprint.

I mean, I only got my first Smart phone like two years ago, so all I know is them but I'm very satisfied with the service I get for my $100 a month.

Wasn't going to get ANY phone without a data plan. I think it's insane anyone would.
