This stuff always happens when you're doing what Sony's doing. you just need to relax, wait, and after a few days, the entire thing should be fine and running. Its just a rocky start from a bad stop.

I am not kidding people, I have had my psn back in the uk for about 2 hours and now its gone down again for maintenance! im not sure if thats funny or full of fail. check your ps3 now to see if its just me or if its everyone
Yeesh, calm down.

You think it's like flipping a switch and done? This is SONY's ENTIRE PS3/PSP NETWORK. It will have hiccups in the process of getting everything back in order. CHILL.

I can imagine it will take 48-72 hours for PSN to handle the traffic smoothly again plus I would expect more people are using it tha normal because its been away for 4 weeks and they are every eager to get back online. The system is also busy sending out tens of millions of e-mails as well and they are taking ages to get to people.

I think it'd probably be something to do with lots of people signing in at once, or possibly something Anon left behind as a last little present.

Until PSN comes back online, however, I'll be laughing all my way through Portal 2 Co-op and Call of the Dead on the reliable console

I agree sit back, relax, play something offline if you have a desperate urge to play a game and if not then go read a book or do something productive. Mine is being bi polar. I turn it on it logs in. Turn it off and then back on its under going maintenance. Big deal. I can still play just about all of my games. I can't even log into playstation.com right now due to it being down for maintenance(according to the error when I tried on my computer). In all honesty I'm not all that worried. I got friends added last night and my trophies synched so that was 2 out of 4 things I wanted done. My other two have to wait til the PS store is online. Which sucks because I want to play my Mortal Kombat online but....then again I have other games to play and books to read and acrylic nails to get off my actual nails. *shrugs* There is a life outside of gaming.

Authors note: sorry for seeming like a bit of a snarky ***** but in all honesty I'm just tired of seeing people whine about it. And hearing about it.

I didn't know Portal 2 was on the Wii?

I have all 3 of the consoles. Guess which one crapped out on me?

I'll give you a hint. It sounds like sex-fox.

Just relax and chill they are restoring somthing to the entire world its got to be done carfuly or else it will explode.

Anyone who complains that they are bringing it up region by region is incompatent to the fact that they are doing it so that they dont overload the system

In a few days it will be all fine

Honestly, I'd rather not have a console that has worse security than Paris Hilton's pants. I've had my sex-fox for about 3 years now, not a problem with it so far. Jumping topic a bit, it's more than I can say for PCs, in my experience they all die after about 2 years. Looking specifically at Mac there, but Toshiba is guilty of that too.

I think we should just drop this topic and try to figure out how to market the sex-fox.

A fragrance maybe?

I had it for a bit. Logged in,synced my trophies, then logged out to keep playing Dragon Age Origins. Just tried to log back in to see who was online, and I got the "We're working on it," screen. I figure there are probably some bugs to still work out, so I'm not pulling my hair out. I'm just happy that we're finally out of the woods, even if there are a few trees in my way.
