Seems to have killed most fat PS3s.
Backing up my PS3 HDD data now just in case Sony's possible epic fail kills my system (it's Sony, so always plan for the worst). Hopefully everything's fine in a few days; I got a BC fat that's out of warranty, it would suck if I had to send it back and pay $200 for a new non-BC system.

Well done Sony. Well. F*cking. Done.

Sony will fix them soon.

Not to rag on the PS3 or nuttin but I'm so tired of their online and the ridiculous updates, I've had to do so many updates that took well over 10 minutes and I'm on Fios (25down 15up). When I went to play n trade I tried out MAG and I had to spend 13 minutes of my 20 minute test time to update the system game. While I'm glad that sony keeps their hardware up to date and their games it takes too long to update their stuff.

PC it takes no time at all 2 minutes at most, 360 is nearly instant, PS3 it takes 5-30 minutes. The worst time I racked up with an update was when I went to play Star Dust HD, it took an hour and a half, an hour..and a half that's the length of a short movie!

As much as I ragged on it here, the system is solid, has never failed me (watch that change haah) and it's quite nice, the exclusives are great too. I just wish the online/updates worked better!
I'm also wondering why my 360 updates so fast, yet the Ps3 is pretty jackshite.
I'm going to take a guess, Sony OS is a bit more broken because initially it used more memory than 360's, that's why they didn't have the X-media bar over the game when you hit the PS button till recently. So maybe since then the OS is a bit less organized even though it's using less power. Or perhaps it's simply the network speed and sony not using good compression methods.

Honestly I'm not sure, other escapists have told me how wrong I am and how fast it is, yet I've never seen this. I have a PS3, 360, Wii, they ALL have shitty problems, but are good systems anyway.

Yo, The Psn being down just screwed me out of 6 Heavy Rain trophies. All the ones that lead up to the end, plus the end with all four alive, plus for some reason the' thanks for supporting; trophy is now gone.
It now gives me a 'Registration of Trophy information incomplete, error has occurred' when I try to start the game. Fuck. FUCK!!!! FUCK YOU SONY SEX BOX! IT'S MY TURN NOW!

From what I read, there's supposed to be a system update coming out to fix the trophy sync problem. I think this might be it cause they were talking about having to add servers.

I don't seem to be having that problem. My little brother was just playing MW2 until just 15 minutes ago.

Not sure if having to be signed into PSN is a mandatory thing for getting trophies now but I got signed out of PSN while playing GTAIV once and still got trophies.

At first I thought this was just me. At least I'm not alone in this horrifying situation. Like alot of people, I was gonna play some Heavy Rain (nearing the end I think), when the trophy error came up. Now the entire list for Heavy Rain is gone from my collection. I pray to God that they'll come back once this problem is fixed. I haven't synced my trophies for a while now (maybe not at all since I started playing Heavy Rain).

Does anyone think I should back up everything on a USB drive, in case the worst happens.
