Tuesday, I found out that Dino Crisis 2 came out on PSN. And it's still as awesome as it once was oh so many years ago. It joins the 17 other PSOne games I purchased (and in some cases) re-purchased for my PSP. How many Classics do you have? Which games? Which games are you still waiting for?

Here's which ones I have:
Mega Man
Mega Man 2
Mega Man 3
Parasite Eve
Dino Crisis
Dino Crisis 2
Resident Evil: Directors Cut
Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 3
Final Fantasy 7
Final Fantasy 8
Metal Gear Solid
Twisted Metal 2
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver
Silent Hill
XenoGears
Cool Boarders 2
Cool Boarders 3

I'm still hoping for these gems:

Legend of Dragoon, Parasite Eve 2, Twisted Metal 4, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, Cool Boarders 4, Resident Evil: Survivor, Dragon Valor, Marvel vs. Capcom, Gran Turismo 1 & 2.

I just recently beat Crash Bandicoot 2: Wrath of Cortex and Spyro(the first one).

Both games have a sort of charm thats just... well, charming.

Like in Spyro, on the second hub world, there are these enemies that will moon you if your not looking at them. Ah, the little things....

Both have aged pretty well to. Well, Crash 2's levels where your being chased by polar bears/giant snowballs and you can't see right in front of you is still a massive pain in the ass.

I have Final Fantasy 7 and 8 from the PSN store. FF7 because i never got to play it until i got it from PSN, and 8 is my second favourite FF after 9, and while i do still have the original discs, case and manual i'd rather keep it all in good condition (as neurotic as that may sound) and figured it'd be easier just to play it from a digital download.

I really wanted to purchase Silent Hill 1 from the PSN, but they took it off the store a while back. I think it had something to do with it being poorly optimised.

So just to hype myself up, FF6-7-8, Heart Of Darkness, Digimon World, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot and Dino Crisis :3

I found a copy of Um Jammer Lammy at the flea market a few weeks ago for five bucks, and promptly bought it. The game deserves a 'classic' label purely for the song Keep Your Head Up. The singer is meh, but the lyrics cheer me up every time.

By extension, I wanna say Parappa the Rapper.

I think Megaman X5 also needs a mention.

The original Ape Escape was a brilliant game for it's time. It was the first game to make using the analog sticks compulsory.

It was a very fun, cute game, with brilliant platforming and a great objective.

Catching monkeys has never been so much fun.

If you bought them for on your ps3, why would you rebuy them for your psp? If you link your psp to your ps3, you can just copy the game straight onto the psp, and have the game on both.

As for how many, I have only a handful. Mostly ones I didn't already have. I am still holding out for Vanguard Bandits.

I have RE:Director's Cut, RE2, RE3, Silent Hill, and MGS. I still really want FF7 to beat it for the first time. I feel bad for not playing it.

You should probably use a strategy guide with it, otherwise you could potentially miss a LOT of what that game has to offer. A lot of what makes it great is what you DON'T HAVE to do... so some people miss out on that and end up disappointed by it.
Heh, How do you think I beat all the resident evils? Thanks though, I will when I get around too. Still plowing through FFIV though on the DS. Finally sitting down to beat it. Liking it more then I thought I would.

I still wonder every time I have a gander at the Playstation Store, Why the hell haven't they released the Spyro games!?? I would honestly buy them in a heart beat since they were my favorite games ever as a kid, no to mention Spyro was kinda the PS1's mascot.

Does anyone else wonder about this?

Oh man, just talking about this is going to make me buy a whole lot more and distract me from the essays I'm supposed to be writing.

I can't even list all the ones I have off the top of my head, but it's a lot.

No one ever shows love for the Tomba games. :(
It breaks my heart that it isn't already released as a PSOne classic. One of my favourite games of all time.
