PSP Go will have an rrp of $450 here in AUS ($49 away from a PS3 SLIM). It comes with 16gb internal memory and no umd slot.
Wait, WHAT!!!???

So this is the discussion - you are a sales representative, try justifying this price.
Suicide is an option.

Here in Canada it cost $249.99cnd. Its super over priced I think. It has no real new update other then it is smaller flips up and 16gb internal storage but they took out the UMD slot... LIKE WTF? Who does that....

As i keep on saying no-one will buy a psp go. They're tacky, awkward to play. For an extra $49 just buy a ps3 slim.

*Sniggers* So who still claims Sony owns the videogaming market?
And yes, suicide should be THEIR option.
Else I'll set them on fire.

Wow. I was considering buying one. That is completely insane. Never mind, Sony. There is no way that the PSP Go could be worth that much.

Weren't the original PSPs $450 odd here? There was a reason why they were really slow sellers in the beginning. Sony didn't learn it's lesson the first time, why is it not surprising they didn't think that high prices would people off now?

He's right, actually. They are HORRIBLE to play, the controls do not feel right in your hands at all.

Is anybody besides sony actually want a PSP GO? What's the bloody point, no umds, strange design, jacked price. It doesn't seem to warrant a purchase from anybody except hardcore sony fans.

I seem to recall commenting in a thread regaring this exact thing awhile back. People told me I was stupid and shallow for my complaints and yet here we stand.

I can pay more than it costs for a PSP 3000 to get a system that only plays downloaded games, and there is no current model for taking my current stock of UMD's and converting them. Basically, Sony is expecting people to jump on the bandwagon of buying a system that literally does less while happily paying more to do so. When you consider the criminally low price of memory sticks (16gb can be had for less than fourty bucks at my local best buy), I'm forced to really wonder why I'd want a go. The new form factor? The small scratch on the screen of my current PSP?

I may consider purchasing one if it were actually priced in accordance with it's feature set - it can't do as much as a normal PSP so it ought to cost less.

is sony trying to see how loyal their fanbase is by releasing bigger and smellier piles of poo?

How exactly is any of this news?

We knew the price was about $50 off the price of a PS3 when they announced the GO, and if I were a salesman trying to pitch this pile of crap, I would probably kill myself.

dont care. Theres no reason for me to buy it. I'm not throwing away the friggin Memory stick pro duo cards I just bought a couple months ago so I can have a psp thats the same as the one I have but slightly smaller.
What is it with Sony and making their newer models just a little bit (arguably) worse than their older models? I just don't see the logic in making a system that nulls the game library of an owner. Must just be intended for newcomers to the PSP scene, or the careless rich.

So, you can only download games I'm assuming? Doesn't that mean non-PS3 or computer users would be unable to use a PSP? Plus, I'm pretty sure 16GB doesn't hold all that many games or movies these days.
