Yeah well, it's one of those memetic fads. And we all know what any fad is just one E short of, correct?

It seems to be on all the time at my work because there is one guy who really likes the song and so most of the time when I am walking past his work area that is the song that is usually on so yes, I am getting a little fed up of it. It is catchy, but you can hear too much of something.

It's so bad for me right now, no matter where I go, I hear the stupid thing.

Bar? "Oppa Gangnam Style!"

Party? "Oppa Gangnam Style!"

Club? "Oppa Gangnam Style!"

Sporting Event? "Oppa Gangnam Style!"

At work? "Oppa Gangnam Style!"

At school? "Oppa Gangnam Style!"

Radio? "Oppa Gangnam Style!"

Internet Browsing? "Oppa Gangnam Style!"

As for Psy, this is like what Gotye said a while back while everyone was all about "Somebody That I Used to Know". These guys have other songs they probably like better, but now they're forever associated with one song
Usually when I hear that something is overused, I have only just heard of it myself. I have never understood why people get sick of stuff so quickly when I am just getting into it. I have just figured it out.

Bar? "Oppa Gangnam Style!"

Party? "Oppa Gangnam Style!"

Club? "Oppa Gangnam Style!"

Sporting Event? "Oppa Gangnam Style!"

At school? "Oppa Gangnam Style!"

Radio? "Oppa Gangnam Style!"
I very rarely partake of any of these activities.

I wonder if it's where I live, but I haven't heard the song once outside of the Internet. I listen to the radio at work, never heard it, customers pull in with their radios on, never heard it. If nobody talked about it/linked to it on here I probably wouldn't have known it was a thing. Since I heard it for the the first time very recently I'm not sick of it, in addition to the reasons above. The funny thing is that I don't listen to that of music, but once you get a hit of carefully crafted aural crack...

its probably what he will be known for..the rest of his life...in the west anyhow
You mean with all the crossover between Western culture and Korean pop, he won't get another shot?

It is a catchy song, and one of the most entertaining music videos (a lost art these days) in awhile. That said, yea...I can understand his frustration. He essentially has to compete with this perfect image of himself in a way.

Also OP, love your avatar. Been too long since ive played Dragon Force, kinda wish they would release the second one online.

The cake is a lie!

Wait, what were we talking about again?

Oh sorry, Gangnam Style. Yeah, memes, especially ones that go mainstream tend to get overused and pretty old pretty fast. Not a comment on anything to do with the song/dance itself, if you still like it, that's fine, but knowing its reached the level where my mum knows what it is kind of kills any buzz about it for me.

Amazingly I have never heard the song (I now deliberately avoid it) and I have actually been to the Gangnam district of Seoul. I'm getting sick of hearing about it though.
