I like rock and classical and blues and jazz, a bit of country and a little rap. I'm okay with techno and trance, and it's a given that I also love J-rock. Also metal. There's alot of stuff that I like. However, I absolutely hate Bob Dylan.

I have a hard time picking favorites.

Let's say 6. I'm opinionated, and I use music to increase the flow of the creative thought process.

I'm going to say that I listen to more bands.

I've got CDs from a band called Sulek. I'd never heard of them outside of Newgrounds, but I bought their stuff 'cause it's good. Most cases, you'll find I will if I really want the stuff. Similar for cases of Sakupen's 'Hell Yes' album, Chu Ishikawa's 'Tetsuo' CD, Queen, Weird Al, Blues Brothers, various anime-related stuff, Stratovarius, the Satchmo himself, and so on. I buy stuff, basically.

Both have their place, all depends on the genre. Hell, even in metal, Devin Townsend is incredible, as is Brendon Small but Necrophagist will always be great.

Well, I write thrash-death metal, so yeah. If I can incorporate music into a self-driven or school project, I will. Anything from acoustic and soft stuff to evil sounding black metal.

As an aspiring musician myself, I support them as much as I can. I'm a student though so it can get tough at times. I buy albums (despite my friends decrying it as a waste of money), go to festivals and shows and buy merch. When I'm at indie shows, I talk to the band mates as much as I can, asking for advice and giving some as well if asked for it.

Mostly band shirts. I'm not going to walk around with corpse paint and spiked gauntlets everywhere. That's for Halloween.

3) Today's music ain't got the same soul; I like that old-time Rock and Roll. Hot funk, cool punk, even if it's old junk, it's still Rock and Roll to me. heh.

4) About 5-6 on average, with swings as low as 3 or as high as 9, depending on, among other conditions, how well my car stereo is working and my mood.

5) Bands, definitely. Though that doesn't say much, since even solo artists have bands, they're just not headlining.

6) My "favorite" is situational; not any specific one. I like different bands and artists for different circumstances.

11) As an activity, listening to music is typically 1-2 hours a day. Though I'm listening to music throughout the day, either in my head or being sung by me, as a means of escapism and self-amusement.

0h(or ~14h). i never listen to music by itself. i only listen if it's in-game background music, an anime score, or if i'm playing a music game that's enhanced by a personal library. including these cases, i'm subjected to music pretty much my entire waking hours, minus ~2h maintenance.
