So I got the demo of Psychonauts from Steam, cause I've been desperately looking for really good games that I actually love (and Psychonauts belongs to my favorite genre of 3D action platforming, see Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & Clank), and my first impressions was that the gameplay was fun, the subconscious minds of people are generally fucked (aka awesome), but one thing that really annoyed me was the embarrassing dialog. While this most times can be excused, I wonder, is it like this throughout the whole game, that you will be surrounded by annoying kids with the most embarrassing voices and grammar, or will it get a bit more serious? I know that it's supposed to be surreal and quirky, but still, many games can be hilarious without kids with voices that makes you want to bludgeon them with a hammer.
