So after the success of Gangnam Style, PSY is out with a new song, Gentleman

What are your thoughts on it?

Personally, I really like it! Beat's nice, wacky music video (which should be suspected for now) and just fun to listen to

But enough of my slobbering affections, you judge!

Gentlemen.

OT: it's alright, I guess. Not terribly interesting. Also, did PSY just pick his butt and make that girl eat it? O_O

Mentlegen, I believe he farted in his hand, and put it in front of her nose; that's MY interpretation of it!

Man...I wish Psy spoke sang in English :(

He just seems to have such a great sense of humor; I would love to actually understand what he's singing about. Although I suppose I could just be interpreting that from his music video and he's actually singing about losing the love of his life to cancer or something... :)

That Macklemore fella seems to be doing the Psy thing in English but I suppose Thrift Shop is all I've heard from him so maybe his head is stuck up his ass like most of the popular music scene and will not remain fun. Psy looks like he's still fun!

Here are the English lyrics

Hope that helps and really give you a sense of the symbolism found in the song

Once again, I am left with the impression that I am watching a parody of something that I am not aware of.

Honestly I'm not quite sure what to think of it at the moment.

It hasn't got the "instant love" that I had when I first listened to Gangnam Style for example, but I could see it being a big enough success, especially in clubs. Sounds more "clubby" than Gangnam Style was anyway.

It feels like its trying too hard to be like Gungam style, but doesn't have as fun dance, or song, and in Gungam Style, the wackier moments like yelling at the ass and the elevator scene stood out more there than in this one.
Not what I call bad but feels kinda lame compared to his previous work, even though I'm kinda sick with how that one is overused, I can tell how that one stood out while this one doesn't.
Having said that, I'd agree with the post that said Psy seems like a really fun guy.

Another song for me to ignore? I didn't particularly enjoy his last piece of work.

I'll stick to my heavy metal and alternative rock :3

I'm getting the feeling that he recognized why Gangnam Style was popular and tried to make a sequel full of the same stuff. Hell, a lot of the same people even. Psy is a crazy/funny guy, but this just feel...meh. Other than "WET PSY", I'm out of positive things to say about it.

makes almost the same dance routine with different hand positions for his next video

Hmm, it's ok but gangnam style is still better. Maybe it's because gangnam style was so "new" for me, this kinda seems to be a failed attempt at making Gangnam Style 2.0

It sort of makes me feel like I could produce a house album in a week.

Funny thing is, that's the only silly/goofy Macklemore song. All the rest are fairly serious.

Ot: Eh, that song wasn't that great. It's not as catchy as Gangnam Style.

It's a lot more mellow than Gangnam Style was, but it's not bad. Definitely won't be the same kind of hit that Gangnam was though. The former just had levels of ridiculosity that this one doesn't quite catch, and without the same upbeat feel it's not going to be something that nearly everyone will be able to enjoy all the time.

That said, the ponytails swinging back and forth are almost hypnotic.

Oh....now I'm sad :'(

And you say most of Macklemore's songs are like that? All well. That was still a great song though, I might have to give him a bit closer of a look anyway. That was a pretty sweet song...he kind of reminds me of a young Eminem except he's not singing about killing his wife/mother. Like if you combined Sixx AM's "Heroin Diaries" with Eminem's "The Slim Shady LP".

Rap is normally something I can't stand but I'll maybe I'll pick "The Heist".

Thinks this is 4Chan

OT: I like it. It's not like the lyrics matter in most american pop/club music anyway so not understanding the langue doesn't really matter. But then again I actually like some Black Eyed Peas songs so my opinion is invalid according to some people.
